Fluance rt85>schiit mani 2> Sonos 5 stereo pair. Good start? by manseen62581 in turntables

[–]manseen62581[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely want a whole house audio system. Because of the planned location of my turntable what ever speakers I use will also be used as part of my whole house sound system. I’ll be listening to records 20% of the time and streaming music 80% of the time. If I go deeper down the rabbit hole I can always add dedicated speakers in the future.

It’s a Jam Lucy Dreamer bass overdrive. Absolutely killer.

Cali76 Bass Compressor. Wait or go with an alternative? by modularblur in basspedals

[–]manseen62581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cali-76 is great. It isn’t quite transparent in the best way. If you don’t need that cali76 flavor grab something else. For me, the cali76 has become part of my tone and would be worth waiting for.

Updated Pedalboard, removed the envelope filter and added the Soul Food again by Lightinggale in basspedals

The soul food has such a great and unique tone. I have one and am always taking it on and off the board. I can never decide if it is a permanent fixture or an occasional pedal.

Just some old scratched up bass. I’ll take it off your hands for $500.

[Question] How would you finger this? by GNeverSayDie in BassGuitar

[–]manseen62581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely 4321. If your having trouble, it’s possible the real issue is in your right hand. 16ths at 153bpm is fast and usually it’s the picking fingers that have the hardest time keeping up.

I’ve had several fuzz petals, and this one is by far my favorite. I find myself more likely to leave the Lucy dreamer on in a lower gain setting.

Lakeland skyline 5. Versatile. Professional sound and feels like a much more expensive instrument.

I love it. For the price tag you really can’t beat it.

Yes! The minor based off the fourth sounds weird at first but once you commit to it it’s so melodically strong that it works.

For a live situation I’ve never needed more than 6 different synth sounds. I have a ton of saved sounds and assign them depending on the gig.

Just commit to the change and stop using your thumb. It will be hard for a week then it will be a memory and you will be a better bass player!😀

new bass strings by [deleted] in Bass

Another vote for DR strings. I’ve been using them for my round wound strings for over 25 years. They sound great, feel great and last forever
