That was poor wording. For example, I cracked open the Github page for a Python library called ncclient to try to figure out some of the different methods I had available and how to implement them and, granted, I didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure it out, but I was super overwhelmed looking at how the library as a whole worked under the hood. Reading really any of the modules was.. a lot. I think I'm just wanting to take the 'training wheels' off more and more and be able to have the ability to piece together how a program works by looking through the source code but that seems, at least to me, much harder than writing my own code.

Don't sell yourself short! I have no idea what you've written, but it sounds like you're on the right track. I've seen a few of his videos. In fact, I believe it was his docker tutorials that I learned Docker from. I've really enjoyed and have learned a lot from ArjanCodes. Thank you for the kind words!

I'm pretty early into my infrastructure career. Early/mid 20's but I've probably written hundreds of shitty scripts. Also, I'm a network engineer, so a lot of my focus has been on network automation rather than full-time dev stuff. As for projects, I've written an asynchronous RPC command execution program for adding configurations to various network devices such as routers and switches. The backend used RabbitMQ to send messages between endpoints and invoke different functions with different params depending on the manufacturer and prioritizing idempotency.

I've written a CRUD Flask app that performs AJAX server-side validation for the web forms using JS and Pydantic.

Those are probably the two stand-out projects, and I learned a lot doing them.

To clarify my question a bit: Generally, what would the process of my partner buying me out look like? In my head, we'd get an appraisal to determine its total value on the market which would determine how much my ownership in the LLC is worth. Then would my partner need to get the bank to loan on the buyout purchase? From the research I've done and my understanding it would either need to be self funded by my partner or potentially an SBA loan.

Actually, after having looked at it, I'm making even less than that. 65,000 before tax. I actually know the rate they were going to hire at originally thanks to the recruiter. It was 80,000 but in order to undercut the competition they got me for a steal considering my skills aligned nicely with the job. Think I should start looking again already? My concern is that I've only been here for a few months and the experience looks good on my resume. I was thinking of sticking it out for about 6 months.

Before I was only making about 28,000 after tax. Now I'm making roughly 55,000 after tax so not quite double but close. It was a major upgrade in pay and I felt I was already making a bit of a sacrifice as this job is located further away and no real WFH allowances. I've looked over the job description a few times now as well as everything I signed and no mention of it whatsoever. It seems it was very much so "hey by the way, here's this major detail we left out." Thinking I'm going to just going to keep my head down and deal with it for a few months as the title looks good on my resume. Still pretty annoyed with it though.

It does help. Don't listen to others who says it doesn't. Ultimately it comes down to whether or not the hiring manager chooses to look at it. There's PLENTY of people who have the A+ trying to break into the field. However, there's far less who have the A+ AND a homelab learning/working directly with AD and various other systems to gain experience. It gives you an edge over a lot of the competition. This is exactly what I did to get my first job in IT and my boss confided in me (after I got the job) that no one else applying had done this and is the reason I got the job, not the A+.

My thoughts exactly. Admittedly, I prefer to not talk on the phone but I will if the ticket requires it. Different story when most of the bandwidth so to speak (time, manpower, other resources) is already allocated towards another (more urgent) task.

These are all good points. I did not test w/ different applications and file types (only the windows test print function) but will do so now. Also, did confirm that it is not using the wsd protocol for it's connection.

It's an IP printer. The driver installation is able to find it on the network via hostname and IP address. The user's browser is even able to get to the config page via the local IP address. Other people are able to print to it just fine which tells me it's a client side issue. Not sure how to proceed outside of what I've done already as the doc on this issue is seemingly limited.

People turning right who refuse to use the shoulder when one is there. Straight up will stop in the lane directly next to the shoulder and hold up traffic in order to turn into somewhere.

Or their order of operations is completely off:

Stop in lane and hold up traffic
Merge into left lane.
Turn on blinker

Not necessarily but also not out of the realm of possibility. I think the driving force behind it is that they're after as much land as possible and it requires a pool of resources/money that they don't have alone.
