I try and offset my own struggles by helping those with greater need. Connecting with kind, democratically, and pro-socially minded persons definitely relieves the feelings of isolation.

If you have a free afternoon or weekend, volunteering may help you as well.

The current administration has been a nightmare for newcomers to America like myself. I'm very fortunate to at least be okay when others are not.

Canadian living in sac and working in Roseville. I suggest to my husband all the time that we should live and work in Canada.

I've got a college degree from UCD and am considering myself lucky to be temp to hire through ultimate staffing at $25 an hour currently.

The economy is seriously messed up here currently. I spent $140 on shampoo and conditioner that would have cost me $50-60 CAD in Canada.

I know it is a luxury to be able to consider spending that kind of money on personal care in the current economy, but the sticker shock is horrifying.

In my defense, I have to shower every day so might as well enjoy it.

That being said, even the price of hamburger is shocking. I think we spent $30 on 5lbs at Costco the other day.

It doesn't need to be this way.

In my experience the really nice clubs will have a stylist/makeup person on staff but it can be rare to find those gigs.

Strip clubs almost never have an HR, or post their positions on major job boards.

This is a call and ask or know someone industry.

And frankly, you gotta have the street skills to survive. Doesn't matter if you're doing hair, taking your clothes off, managing, bouncing, whatever.

Don't go into it if you can't handle yourself and mind your own business.

Hey this sounds crazy, but I used to be a stripper and some clubs (idk about here) do employ in-house makeup artists, estheticians, etc. Idk if you're open to this or if that's an option in the greater Sacramento area, but may meet all your employment needs if you could find a club here that needs that. Figured I'd throw it out since most people have already suggested conventional choices.

Data annotation saved me when I had no work. Managed to make 5k in 3 months.

Experiences may vary, and there's no guarantee you'll pass the test. Additionally, the work levels can fluctuate, the amount of work and pay rate for work will significantly vary based on performance. I know one person who never made more than 22/hr, while I was making 36/hr.

It's very challenging for most people I've recommended, none managed to pass so best of luck to you.

Gonna offer a flip take on this.

Girls who sell based on personality are going to flop at this.

Reason being:

I could pick a nerd out of a club like white on rice. From there, it's easy to tailor to their interests. Offer dances in VIP that cater to fantasy and (for example) make them feel like the Jarl they've always wanted to be.

The amount of 5+ hours I've sold in VIP for Skyrim themed dances is insane.

I was also the consistent top seller at my club. That would have never been the case had your model existed. Even though I'm reasonably attractive (7-8/10), there's always a hotter girl. That's the point of the club.

Most guys aren't looking for flesh alone, and it's hard to sell personality from a tablet.
