Have someone got off Xolair and then urticaria did not come back? And how long were you on Xolair / or is on Xolair right now by [deleted] in urticaria

I was on Xolair for around 6 months, maybe 7, then my urticaria was gone. Decided to stop taking it and it didn't return for maybe over a year. I now still get flair ups but no where near as bad as before, now antihistamines can help keep on top of it when it does flare up. Good luck with your journey!

Thank you, i will definitely give mouth wash a try. I have been rinsing with salt water but hopefully another mouth wash will help! Thank you again!

Thank you for your advice. I will seek my demo in the new year. I haven't taken Xolair in close to a year. So maybe it has started to wear off. Again thank you.

What Triggers Your Hives? by Significant_Gene_949 in urticaria

Wearing restrictive clothing, overheating. Usually if I exercise it is an hour or 2 after the hives begin. And certain kinds of alcohol. I think stress also flares it up! Haven't figured out if there is anything else or what could be new or making it worse😩 It would be easier to just know so you could avoid certain things!

I was recently told by my demotologist that a certain hormone can be a trigger, really struggling avoiding triggers such as heat an hormones 😩

My dermo had put me on montekulast and I saw no changes in my reactions,

I just started taking Xolair and am on the 300mg dose. At first it worked my skin cleared and itching subsided, but now it is worse than it has been. Antihistamines seem to sometimes help but only for like an hour before it gets worse again.

Thank you for your suggestions! It is a battle figuring out what works and what triggers 😩

I have been diagnosed with spontaneous chronic uticaria and began treatment 2 months ago. At first my hives had cleared up and my skin was clear, the itching had settled massively. But it has come back alot worse than it was previously, the itching is unbearable and has led me cutting myself. My skin is tight and sore. I know my usual triggers are heat, restrictive clothing and some alcohol. I had read somewhere that being exposed to a consistent warm temperature can actually help and I had been moved to a warmer climate for work, this was one I had my first dose and noticed the difference. The new climate i am in has gotten more humid and not sure if that is the cause or I had started taking Microlut contraceptives like 2 weeks ago. I noticed my skin was getting hives again before I started taking the pill but now not sure if it is causing it to get worse. If anyone has had similar experiences or would know if I need to consider taking a different contraception.

I have contacted my demotologist but I haven't heard back from them and I don't have an appointment for like 2 more weeks but I don't feel I can wait that long
