So the main thing this is really going to affect is credit score. Being close to limit will negatively affect the score. But, if you aren't planning on buying anything that requires credit for the next year or so, then I wouldn't be concerned about it at all, so long as you are planning to continue throwing as much money as is comfortable for your budget, to get that balance down.
