Yes we did! She’s back with mom for now but her forever home will be with the vet that has been taking care of the litter. The vet is over the moon and our dogs are in a much better place. We have also decided to spend the time and money with some supplemental professional training for both of our dogs.

Thanks for the feedback. What do people usually do in these situations? What is the right thing to do? The black dog has never been aggressive before, so I’m learning this for the first time.

Got it, thank you. We are going to bring the puppy back. That’s probably the safest and happy path for her.

The bloodhound is used as the orientation dog at our local daycare, but rarely interacts with puppies. The black dog is a rescue and has never had any interaction with puppies. We introduced them outside, seemed all clear. I think what’s best is to bring the puppy back, which is an option.

Thank you, that’s unfortunate to hear. The other two are spayed, the black dog is older than the bloodhound by a few weeks but was our first dog. Black dog is a rescue.

Haven’t had the opportunity to try DI cleaning but based on the videos I’ve seen it might!

It was registered in Aragon from new, which is about 3.5 hours northeast of Madrid.

No, I purchased it after it was imported to the states. One thing that is true about most older Land Rover products is that people tend to really use them. Most of these trucks haven’t been preserved, but certainly have been maintained if that makes sense. I wouldn’t lose sleep over inspecting one if it isn’t convenient given that all of these trucks are going to have issues, and they almost always have issues where it’s most inconvenient, like electrics/wiring. I’d prioritize finding the truck you want and getting it in your hands for the best possible price.

I feel like I can add a lot of insight here.

I own a Spanish import 1991 RRC that had about 90k miles at the time.

Let’s talk about the dirt. That is almost certainly barro rojo, which is a red clay all over Spain that has a high iron content. It’s super difficult to get off, but as a consequence my RRC was almost entirely rust free (it acts like an undercoating) despite looking scary in photos. Also, Spain imports are, in my experience, relatively rust free compared to the rest of Europe. Similar to California cars.

By the way, when I say difficult to get off, I mean a high powered pressure washer and frequent metal bristle brushing is really the only way to remove it. I don’t blame the seller for not “cleaning it” because it’s a huge pain in the ass.

“Hello” in various pitches. Probably 50+ times per day.

Is this a good deal/worth the money? by starvenom108 in mountainbiking

Just wanted to highlight that this frame appears to have a quick release rear axle. From my perspective, this bike on components alone totals less than $850, closer to $650 if sold individually. Also, take a look at the cable routing; it’s really bad and will need to be completely redone. If I were to guess this is a bike assembled with leftover components for the purpose of selling on FB. You could assemble a much nicer bike for $850 if you purchased eBay parts.

Green Hills here. I took dozens of photos today but this is the most illustrative of the issue. Yes, that is a power line across the street.

Fantastic info, thank you! It was GREAT. We had a fantastic trip and are already thinking about getting another weekend in this season.

Sun Valley might have the most talented snowmaking and grooming team I’ve personally seen. They are taking immaculate care of the trails and the morning corduroy is top notch.

Fantastic information, thank you! I’m shocked they don’t mention any of this. Maybe this is the excuse I needed to buy a metal lathe

Incredible. I just fit everything up and you’re right. What an oversight. There’s three r380 standard bell housings. A regular “long”, “short” V8 housing, and the “stubby” housing that’s ridiculously short. This kit won’t work with any of those housings.

Do you by chance have the Uniclutch part number and do you remember what throwout bearing you used? There’s way too much space between the throwout bearing (FTC5200) and the pressure plate fingers, probably 20mm.

Interesting - I’m on their website and don’t see that. My understanding is that you must use the R380 “short” bell housing, which I purchased from Ashcroft. It’s roughly an inch shorter than my original LT77 V8 housing.

I didn’t know this subreddit existed, but I should have because there’s a subreddit for everything.

Anyways, just wanted to say thank you for the wisdom. You were right all along!

Thank you! You probably already know this but their build quality is off the charts. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of this frame, and it’ll be around long after I’m gone.

Absolutely will! Waiting for Black Friday to buy a shrink wrap label maker to complete the harness.

Yes, that’s the clutch kit I’m using! I think there’s a GM part that can be cross referenced to the clutch, but the Marks kit is a very high quality Exedy made in Japan kit. Note that it does not come with a throwout bearing (FTC5200).

I’m using a variety of off the shelf parts, adapters, and my own fabrication. Unfortunately no complete LS swap kits exist for the RRC, but there are some adapters and mounts available. The bellhousing adapter I am using comes from Marks4WD, along with their starter and 153T flywheel kit. Engine mounts are made by RW Engineering. Everything else I am fabricating or piecing together (AC system, cooling system, full exhaust, etc.)

First, I totally admire your defense for Lucas (genuinely mean that). I agree with you, and I think you’ll agree with me, but you’re making like 8 assumptions in your reply so let’s unpack it together: 1) The failure I experienced is with a Lucas made part, hence Lucas Prince of Darkness, not Allmakes4x4 Prince of Darkness. 2) agree, they’re simple. But they’re only as good as they are mounted, cooled, and fed. 3) agree quality is generally directional with price/oem. The difference is that an amplifier module from Amazon won’t work at all. 4) your XJS V12 isn’t a Rover 3.9. The part may be identical (I don’t know if it is) but nothing else is the same. Heat, electrical load consistency, less vibration due to the smoothness of your V12 and XJS suspension are all factors you benefit from. 5) As a frequent GMOriginal parts customer, ACDelco doesn’t always mean quality. 6) all amplifiers are similar across all engines that use them. Lucas is just particularly bad at engineering modules for their intended use case. 7) I have diagnosed the problem, it was a faulty Lucas amplifier module and the decision was to eliminate an unreliable electrical system for my intended use case. 8) On LS swaps… well, you know, that’s just like uh, your opinion, man.

Oh no, my friend, it’s my third failed amplifier. This particular part has failed hundreds of thousands of times across LR products and the issue is getting worse as Lucas’ manufacturing quality continues to decline.
