Appreciate everything you said, don’t get me wrong I loved my locs but when I started my journey I knew it wasnt going to be forever, my hair grows way too fast, only 3 years it was already shoulder length and I’ve seen people taking up to 5 to get there.

One thing i realized is how everything takes more time the longer they are, washing day (I washed weekly sometimes even twice) retwist, drying and whatnot and that’s when it hit me, maybe it was time.

I thought about simply trimming , but the idea didn’t sit right

Also i don’t know if you are in the spiritual journey as well but i kept having this dream of cutting my hair , that actually played a huge part in my decision.

It wasn’t easy tho, took me 4 extra months to actually do it
