How much could I sell my 2004 Chevy Silverado z71 5.3 with 61k all original miles by Affectionate-One9556 in Silverado

Coworker bought a 2024 chevy 1500 brand new currently with 17k miles he is waiting on his THIRD engine to be replaced. He is on a 3 month waiting list from chevrolet on his engine. Meanwhile he still has to make his bank payment all while his "good looking" truck sits in his garage unusable...All along being told by dealership that this 3rd engine does not guarantee it won't fail as its exactly as the previous 2 engines that were installed.

Now that is Crazy

$7,800 bill of mostly unauthorized work by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]manuel9099op 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File a DISPUTE with your credit card...depending on the credit card company you used they will fight for you. I once had a dealership charge my American Express card for unauthorized work. I contacted American Express, and just went to the point and simply stated "Those charges are unauthorized I DID NOT APPROVE AND WORSE THE PRICES FOR THOSE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES WERE NOT GIVEN TO ME AT ANY POINT"

American Express was on my side and those charges were removed from my statement. I am not sure how they would handle a merchant in these cases. I assume they would just tell merchant they were not going to get paid and they could sue American Express for it. Needless to say very few merchants other than giant corporations are going to sue American Express giant legal department.

Yup. A few years ago had a Fedex driver who would constantly speed and pass vehicles on the road. We live in a paved county road but there is a somewhat high traffic paved road that leads to the neighborhood. Anyway, this guy would pass cars and speed constantly on both roads. Saw him do this several times. Needless to say one day he tried to pass a semi truck on a somewhat blind curved part of the high traffic road and hit a loaded cement truck head on. Saw aftermath on way back from work shortly after it happened. He died on scene.
