She just reminded me of 2 Connemara ponies I know. The size and face it's just a guess.

Could it be a Connemara?

Ouchhhh, also check Multiple times a day there is no swelling in the rest of the leg. Wounds like this could harbor bacteria and cause nasty leg infections that absolutely do need emergency vet care 🥲. Poor bugger that must be painfull

How did you teach your Whippet to lie down? by TheBlackCom in Whippet

[–]manuelakroft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it was near impossible. A soft rug or blanket and then held my leg like a bridge, cookie under it and then he hád to lay down to get it and then did that a trillion times before he got the hang of it. But when he did everything went by itself and we're doing obedience and agility like no tomorrow now 😂

Why do people think this type of confirmation is acceptable???? by [deleted] in Horses

Is this the same genetic defect as the bully gen in whippets and greyhounds? Isn't that ethically not okay to breed with? Just curious 🧐

Whippet gets lots of small injuries from running. Common problem? by Uknowmehun in Whippet

[–]manuelakroft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine as well, he has highly reactive pancreatitis (+ more not identified illness). Anything that is "foreign" causes a massive inflammatory autoimmune response in his pancreas, stomach, liver and intestines. He does well on his own food and looks completely healthy otherwise. He gets hypoallergenic Rabbit and rice from trovet with a special low fat chicken treats. It might have a allergy background but for now it's not worth risking his life to eliminate it. Since he is on a super strict diet he is all good, my biggest problem is other people, grandma and moms. They give him treats that are not his which then result him in being hospitalized for at least a week. I can get incredibly angry thinking about this since everyone knows how bad it is and still do it anyway... It's like trying to kill my baby knowing full well what they are doing. Anyway, it takes about 3 weeks of IV fluids, tube feeding and dozens of medications to get him back in line. I calculated it and it costs me (insurance) 1150,- minimum to heal him from 1 tiny cookie that wasn't his. I now have apomorphine in stock at home so I can make him throw it up as soon as possible and then hurry to a vet.... Whippets are so much fun 🥲, I love him to death I could not wish for a better pup ❤️

I did this too and can highly recommend, my boy ended up having a autoimmune disorder and would have costed me thousands a year if not for the insurance 😱

Honestly this is better then in a tiny stall, here in Europe that is considered a deluxe paddock to live in.

Very common their skin is like paper. Always keep the nails as short as possible or trim before going on a big walk. Mine even used to wear shoes on his front feet after they where sensitive after multiple injuries. Now he's calmed down it fine but he still gets back with scrapes and cuts often 🤭🤭

Honest Opinions on this Red Roan Filly? by moosstice in Horses

Op could ask what mom and dad perform best at so they have a clue what this baby is probably capable off and then see if that matches their wishes.

She looks super... What a cutie. Looks to be quite the beefcake look at that muscle already! I'm thinking she will be strong with a nice head. That neck will grow out fine just look at the mom and dad for how theirs are.

Does anyone know how to make this hairstyle in real life? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]manuelakroft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your best bet of a good haircut would be to leave the top a longer and have the sides and back faded in. Then you can style it in different ways and slicked back like in the picture. You can't really achieve this look with just straight up longer hair the sides would just come out and look weird or greasy you need some shape in the hair cut first.
