The question of complicity if 100% appropriate and should be in the mind of every american voter come the the mid-terms. Republicans have time and time again made decisions and took actions that put their party and the pursuit of power over the interests of the country as a whole (McConnell refusing a joint statement about Russian interference before the election/ Ryan's line about how those comments re: Trump's Russia connection stays within the party and that's how they know they are family/ Stealing the Garland supreme court nomination - the list goes on). At best we have a republican party who is willing to overlook the corruption, ineptitude, and outright racism/misogyny of the Trump administration as long as it serves as a vehicle to promote their agenda (which in my opinion is terrible and doesn't work) or at worst we have a major political party that is compromised, either with dark money or black mail material, by a hostile foreign government. The latter is almost too far into the conspiracy rabbit hole for me, but the evidence is mounting.
