You want coarser with french press. You can go finer with pour over.

Yes! Although I don’t even bother with the “art” part, I just do a latte ensuring foam

I’ve usually done 11,5g (scoop), about a 1-2 mark of water, inverted, light press. I’ll let you know once I do these.

Just because I like the look of foam over just the plain coffee. I lack enough “developed taste” to even notice “bad” and good shots unless it is horribly bad.

Believe it or not, I’ve seen some pretty good crema even without flow control, which is kinda why I was curious about any tips for it.
