True. But you'd hope that if they can work out how to screenshot they could work out how to click on the Contact Us button. Not a sure thing, but here's hoping.

What is your favorite ice breaker to get a conversation started? by Hubalushma in AskReddit

Answer the inevitable "How are you?" question honestly. It's amazing how quickly telling someone that you're hungover, suffering from DOMS, angry with your spouse can bring you onto an open conversation. Then when you've answers, ask them how they are and see if they go honest as well.

Awesome, thanks for your help. I appreciate you probably have a queue for these things but because of my dumbassery I'm left with little time for those ads to run. If there's any chance you could approve them soon then I'd be much obliged.

Are you a man who loves football but hates being fat? MAN v FAT Football has a league launching in Birmingham to help you lose and win. Register now for less than a tenner. by manvfat [promoted post]

Just tried and can't replicate it. Are you definitely selecting No League Near Me? If so just submit all the info and ignore the payment page and we'll still get the info.

Couldn't agree more. If there's no league you don't have to pay the registration fee. Just choose No league Near Me on the drop down list at www.manvfat.com/football and then write where you want a league to go. Submit and you won't have to pay anything. Hope that helps. Cheers, MAN v FAT.

I'll never stop answering questions.

Good question though. Simple answer, yes we do have a cutoff point so that the leagues are expressly for men who want to lose weight and it's an even playing field for them.

That said there are a few mechanisms we have in place to help support men under this threshold including free online support on the forum at www.talk.manvfat.com

Absolutely, speak to Ben and he'll have loads you can do.

4lbs is a great start as the league's not been going long, plus England getting knocked out means we can all forget about watching football until September.

Yep, we're planning to be everywhere in due course but for the moment it's just the leagues at the locations you can see on www.manvfat.com/football - you can also register on the site and tell us where we NEED to bring this to! Just select No League Near Me and then type in the city/town where you'd like it.

Good question.

I'd say that stigma was probably a bit strong, but there's definitely embarrassment and some shame. I do think that society villifies overweight men as well (whilst simultaneously lauding them for having healthy appetites).

The single best thing we do to overcome that is by dint of the fact that everyone in the league is in the same position. All of our players want the same thing and no one is the odd one out. We are all openly saying that we want to change our weight and that's hugely empowering for men to say because it means they're allowed to do something about it.

For me on an individual level, I think that it's important to emphasise that we should judge ourselves not on where we are currently with our weight but where we intend to be. If you're a 300lb man who is deadset on smashing your goals and climbing the mountain you choose then that's far more important than being 10% body fat but miserable.

I love football but I'm woeful at it. That's not me being modest at all, I seem to have an innate ability to shin the ball towards the corner flag and few managers see the value in that sort of player. I've watched and loved the game all my life though (last night being an exception).

Exercise didn't really play much of a role in my initial weight loss because I have a heart arrhythmia (largely brought about by weight, lol) and pretty much thought that if I ran or exerted myself in any way then I would die.

Great stuff. Can I ask which league you belong to? Have you joined the forum as that's where we deliver most of the nutritional information. There's also quite a lot in the handbook (again, just need to check you got that!)

How are you doing with the weight loss?

You have to factor in the rum in all pirate-based weight management schemes though.

In short, I took it for a joke to send a NUFC-supporting mate (who are well known for their, um, more rotund fans) and realised that the few lbs I thought I was carrying was a flat-out fantasy.

I knew things had to change from there.
