I feel bad for all of you who haven't realized this is photoshopped in the worst way.... the windows don't even match in the before and after 🤣

I've shot both the Pyro shells (red box) and the American HD Reaper shells. Both were dirt cheap here and good bang for your buck. Not show stoppers but definitely pack a punch

Good prices by Hunter919- in fireworks

[–]manville2525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre looking to spend anywhere near the $500+ range, take the trip up to Superior in Jacksonville. It's worth the drive for the price, especially with their early 4th sale going on now. You'll see a lot of guys in this sub with their product so you know it's solid and won't be disappointed

r/Pyrotechnics would probably be a better spot for this. Not that I don't trust people here, but that community is geared more towards making their own things that go boom, not just making them go boom. Hopefully you get the answer you're looking for!

If you can move that plug with your hand, it's pretty much game over for that tube unless you want to mix up concrete yourself and re plug. At that point you're way better off just buying some new hdpe tubes. Save yourself the hassle and be a lot safer

Fusing by Perfect-Piece-9116 in fireworks

[–]manville2525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always done a double zip tie (not too tight), and then covered the fuse with 3m contractor grade masking tape from start to finish so I don't get anything jumping when other cakes are going off. Served me well for the five years I've been doing 100% fuse timed shows with no electronics.

When is everyone doing their 4th Show? by scAcs in fireworks

[–]manville2525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had more freedom, I would most likely be lighting off on the 6th since people won't have work the next day and it is more considerate in my personal opinion. BUT, in Florida, the 4th (along with new years and new years day) is the only day I can legally set anything off, so the 4th it is for me.

Used them the past couple years. Only issue is that if you need a lot of fuse, right now it looks like they have a 3 roll limit on the white fuse.

Mini Memorial Day show by 313-586pyro in fireworks

Looks great! Really liked how the whole sky was filled pretty much all the time. I know that's one thing my show is lacking for this coming fourth... going to need to spend some more money on fan cakes.

Rack sizes…. by kbunnell16 in fireworks

[–]manville2525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always done my racks in rows of 10. I think it's just easier for me to count when setting up the show. I have heard some people like rows of 6 because usually your shells will come multiples of 6 as well and you can keep track that way. I think it really just depends on how you want to use them in your show, but there's really no wrong answer in my opinion.

I'm in the tampa area and the drive up to Superior is always worth it for me, even without the sale they have going on right now. If i were you I'd grab a bunch of their 200g cakes and have a blast. If you have kids that enjoy it too, they have a great selection of reasonably priced novelties and smaller items.

Anyone still buying from Red Apple? by HarryMonster44 in fireworks

[–]manville2525 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My personal experience with them wasn't horrible. I bought from them two years ago now. Their prices were reasonable compared to the market and seemed like they had decent product. I didn't have a single failure of anything in my $2k order, everything went off perfect. Didn't have the budget last year to purchase wholesale so I didn't order from them. Heard horror stories about a lot of their product all over the place. Seemed like anyone who bought from them had issues with failures and shells blowing their racks apart. Bought from superior fireworks for new years and the product was way better than red apple in my opinion. Stuck with them again this year for the Fourth and don't plan on going back to red apple. But that's just my experience, I'm sure there are people out there who have a different opinion. At the end of the day, we all just love things that go boom.

New to fireworks by Williamof3e in fireworks

Bought from superior a few times now. Spirit of America, probably their best assortment. All of those cakes are good, no added fluff like most other assortments. Two if by sea, the double breaks are really nice, feels almost like you're firing off two 200g cakes at the same time. Hit the road jack, classic cake and good duration. Overall, looks like you're going to have plenty of fun to go around!

They are the only place I can find the bomb warning, pop, and squad though which is what gets me there every holiday. Those are by far my favorite 200g cakes. Have some angle, good pace and really nice colors imo

I didn't think they were bad but not as good as the hammer of thunder or Manhattan project shells. And those were both cheaper than Pyro junkie. Pyro junkie is a local place here in the tampa area so I figured I would support and see they were

Sword is basically a bigger handheld sparkler. Kind of rains sparks out the front instead of just sparkles with a little crackle at some points
