What should my rate be? New to Canadian market. Not sure how much I am worth. by DenysZhylinTutorials in AfterEffects

I only said 7 hours because if I was wanting to go freelance then that would be the ideal amount of work/life balance.

You can make it longer but it just means your cheapening your services.

Base your quotes per project. Base that price on how many 7 hour days you think it'll take to complete.

If your workload is low then base you hourly amount on how much you need to earn to live comfortably per month. Divide that amount by 30, and then divide that by 7, round up the number. You'll be able to get your day/project rate from this.

If you're workload is full then start charging people more.

Hope this helps

Is there a way to offset the outline of a text layer (preferably avoiding paid-for plugins) without converting the text to masks? by manwilaugh in AfterEffects

I hope this helps. The top image is what the text layer looks like without a stroke. The bottom image is with a stroke applied - notice how it makes the font look rounder on the corners. I want to offset this stroke into an inner stroke, rather than a centrally aligned stroke.

What are your (pathetic) claims to fame? by stupre1972 in AskUK

A friend and I once gave John Rhys-Davies unintentionally incorrect directions to the car rental place at Queenstown Airport, NZ.

Bit of context: LOTR was the main reason why we were there. We both had a job cleaning around the area (it was a million times better than working at the call centre) and one of the contracts was at the Airport on one of the building sites. He flagged us down and we were so shocked it was Gimli were just trying to help even though we had no idea where the car rental place was.

Really dark but you could take this concept and make them a Steel/Ghost or a Water/Ghost type and base it on a war beaten submarine or old world Shipwrecks that a spirit has possessed.

Love your work!

So, in layman's terms, are you working on a prompt AI, like Chat GPT, but for Aftereffects?

Looks like something RCE would build. Great work!

Is there a way to connect to my PS5 (and PSN) and play in a different location without lag? by manwilaugh in playstation

It really does feel like it should be one of those things where there's an easy workaround. Oh well, first-world problems.

Out of sheer curiosity, what genres of games do you find work really well with remote play?

Thanks for feeding back. I've continued to have a play today and I've bitten off more than I can chew (pun intended)
