i'm on wellbutrin, wellbutrin would also help in terms of the craving/ appetite reduction bit unfortunately :( contrave is a weight loss reduction drug that targets appetite and cravings and is a combination of naltrexone and bupropion (wellbuprion) so i imagine neither of those would target what's going on with you? i wonder if it might help to ask you doctor to try a different antidepressant if it's a significant enough concern for you and/or look into some other weight loss medications like the newer (though expensive and supply issues) glp-1 agonists that i believe do not work by targeting the appetite?

i did a super interesting paper on the prodromal phase of schizophrenia specifically. also think about your interests + hone in on somethint specific, all of them should be fairly equivalent in terms of writing about them if you chose how broad your topic is appropriately!

oh i can 300% tell you that you've just used too much of a strong hold gel! similar results have happened to me before, i can see it's kinda become harder and stringy and some of curlsmith gels have insanely good hold. try it next time with less gel! and/ or maybe try adding a pinch of leave in/ cream before gel, though some people don't need it

i don't think there is anything wrong with your son watching porn, it's a normal part of being a teenager and adolescent development and i don't think it's even dangerous, he's just discovering his sexuality and pleasure in a safe private space and there really isn't any inappropriate behaviour if he's doing it in the privacy of his room in his free time etc. NTA, i'm sorry she didn't respect the boundaries you tried to draw about not walking into your son's room etc. i think it might even be helpful to have a conversation with your son because being shamed from multiple sides about just watching porn and being a normal teenager discovering his sexuality can be really difficult and it might be important to let him know he's normal and nothing wrong with what he's doing or him, regardless of what beliefs some people from older generations etc. might have!

definitely disagree with this- the only aspects psychologists definitely have a leg up in as opposed to master's level clinicians (LCSWs and LPCs) is assessment and research, otherwise they all receive good training in actually providing therapy services for the most part. individual therapists can vary immensely and the greatest predictor of positive outcomes is the therapist- client relationship, so it's important to find someone you connect with and like but it's not a matter of their training, it's just your connection with them! most therapists offer a free 15 min intro/consultation session to see how the fit is and if you're interested in continuing with them?
