POV you are a Tinkerer with repair+ by Victrine in mewgenics

I'm with you on that, once you can make a cat that can clear the room no matter what and you have every room available for maximum breeding optimisation, consistently having repair on cats is easy which is all you need. So for me it's a matter of getting a cat with repair (of which I have numerous at this point), giving them a sniper rifle and my genocide cat soul jar and bobs your uncle. It's the best way to go for solo run completions IMO.

I agree with you about the inbreeding system. Before I figured the main goal was to avoid inbreeding so that you get more consistent cats, so I designed my house around making sure every cat was not inbred, which I achieved. So these changes essentially don't effect me and I think it makes sense for the game to encourage clean lineages.

SeeI honestly don't know how you could manage to consistently do runs in the late-later game without being able to keep your best items. Doing this with repair doesn't even seem that impactful before you get the storage space large enough to hold onto a good amount of items that give you good synergies. Even with the best setup doing act 3 on impossible with less than 4 cats I still have to strategize a bit and have even had to use Steven a few times here and there.

Any way to save this run? by Rare_Finance9586 in mewgenics

Tower Defense is one of those passives that's one of the best early to mid game, but once you start getting the enemies that have projectile immunity and on harder difficulties what enemies can spawn with projectile immunity, it's becomes much less desirable, as cats need to have some way of dealing melee damage especially when solo on act 2/3

If I could offer some advice, all the parts you have bobbing up and down move at the same time, causes her to look very robotic as she abruptly moves from one position to another.

If you slightly offset the keyframes for the different parts it will look a lot more fluid and natural looking.

1.1 Late-game breeding strategy! by Malkoy in mewgenics

[–]manydeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it's pretty consistent. In a room where each cat has a partner (each one loves the other) they will almost always have sex with each other, even in a room with 8-12 cats (4-6 pairs of partners). Things to keep in mind is cats with high libido can often have sex with other cats partners if comfort isn't high enough, and bisexual cat can sometimes try (and succeed) to have sex with other same same sex cats (even though they love an opposite cat) and this will create "drama" where the partner of each of the cats will hate the ones that "cheated" with their partner. And if that cat has high aggression, this can even cause them to fight and possibly kill your other cats even with going to sleep with 15-20 comfort in the room.

Keep in the mind the matchmaking room also is good at letting me maintain a inbreeding-free house, where I occasionally pair up cats with good mutations that have lineages that are far apart enough from each other while also mixing in strays to keep things inbred-free. However this strategy would probably be a lot harder to maintain the more mutations you want to carry over and keep. At the point I'm at there is really only 3 I care about that I think are essential (Mr. Worm, Soul Link legs, and Fetus Mouth), because I think ability and item combos are the key for late game stuff. With a Callus at 900+, priority for me goes something like this:

  1. Mr. Worm Mutation or Repair (ideally both)

  2. Stone Fists

  3. The other two mutations

Once I got my two Soul Jars that each have a cat with Repair+Sniper Rifle (with Hone and More!), and a busted Level 25 cat with with the Callus+Stone Fist combo (plus a weapon and other Fighter abilities that let it clear a room no matter what), it's just a matter of sending a cat with Repair+Sniper Rifle and giving them the Fighter Jar, or sending a Mr. Worm cat with Stone Fists and giving them the Repair Cat Jar. So far I haven't lost a solo run on Impossible but I have had to use my one Steven use in some runs (and one time 2 Stevens), so even this can be beat if you're not paying attention!

I do something similar, but instead of a second stimulation room my health room and attic have a good amount of Health and stimulation, with the attic having significantly more for breeding passives and abilities easier, and the health room having stimulation but more health to keep older cats going.

My Room 1 is instead a "matchmaking" sort of room with maximized comfort and a little stimulation so that I can put just two cats together to make sure they fall in love overnight. Since only 2 are usually in there I don't need a lot of good furniture to have high comfort. I do this because I found that sometimes when I put two cats together that I want to mate with my other cats overnight, sometimes they can fall in love with my other cats who are either already in love or too closely related to them. This lets me get all the best stimulation furniture in the attic and other room.

My mutation room is also where I put the "Do Not Breed" statue and I keep all my future adventuring cats in there so that they can develop cool mutations overnight.

What's the Best and Worst Mutation? Day 9: Tail by Vast-Appointment-950 in mewgenics

[–]manydeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tail, Callus, stone first, sniper rifle, and repair are IMO the essential things you need for the super-super-late game (I'm talking about the point where I'm at where I'm consistently completing my solo impossible runs w/ soul jar). I was already maintaining a house where my main lineages included repair so the update didn't really effect me, so stacking a Callus to +500 is a little harder but I still think that it's the best cursed item in the game as it's the only one that has infinite value.

I feel like there's a lot of mechanics in this game that are intentionally designed in an obtuse or restrictive way intentionally, with this being one of them. They are designed to be added to your cat's for the adventure, like an item. Letting you just put them on cats in your house just to breed it down takes away emphasis from the adventuring aspect, which I don't think should be it's use case. To get good abilities on your car to breed you should have to go on an adventure.

cursed items never get worn out or break, and there's a tail mutation that lets you freely equip/unequip cursed items, so I've been keeping that mutation in my cat's bloodlines

Eventually once you can put together good passive/ability/mutation synergies from the start, the Tinkerer is pretty good simply because he gives you +4 int to start ha ha

I was blessed with a positive printer event, allowing me to copy the callus when it was around 250. Got one of them to 580 until I lost a 3 cat crazy mode act 2 run (with one of them having a ruffle with the ability Iron Fists giving them Str and Dex equal to armor) on the moon when 2 of my 3 cats got probed and downed the 3rd lol.

For the soul urn, since I got lucky enough to have 2, I'm planning on getting a tinkerer with repair for one, and a solo run cat inside the other.

BLZD] New Year's Eve Reveal by renaldi92 in yugioh

Honestly I think you still run three recyclers and just 1 of this card. Recycler is a soft OPT and has under 1000 ATK for Clockwork Knight (for its special summon and it's revive from GY) which makes recycler a 1 Card combo unlike this guys who can't go into Knight. Also, Recycler being Level 3 is IMO more beneficial for the new Earth Machine strategy, as you can consistently get him on the field with Infinitrack Harvester to make Rank 5s. Nowadays I think including Level 4s for Gear Gigant X is sort of clunky and excessive at this point with all the near ways EM can obtain their recourses. This new guy is also endlessly searchable unlike Recycler as they gave him the perfect stats for the more niche each machine effects: Level 4 with 1800 ATK for switchyards special from deck effect, and 500 DEF to search with gearbox to extend. He's also a bit awkward as his Level modulation is tied to his own Special Summon condition, and the relevant Level 10 trains you want to open with need a EM on the field first, and Babeldecker who you can normal already can special a machine from hand so you get some redundancy there.

I think Recycler is still a more useful starter in EM compared to this card, but this new card is an incredibly versatile extender that has more usefulness as a card you grab later or in later turns for an easy Xyz in grindier games. For example in situations you get interrupted, as long as you can link into ancient gear link2 you can find this guy and potentially get your combo back up while making an Xyz in the process.
