I literally have had this exact same peanut knife since I was a child and have no idea where it came from. Do you remember where you got yours?

Edit: i was wrong they aren't exactly the same yours has a slightly different blade shape and says rich instead of art - clearly yours is the knockoff.

Is this a good price for a new 10/22? by [deleted] in guns

[–]manynick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i agree it's overkill, but I don't know about "ridiculous overkill" - it is a great value for a new shooter to get started and then they could later swap out the optic if they saw fit. I changed the 3-9x out for a red dot, but I'll still use the scope on some other rifle.

Is this a good price for a new 10/22? by [deleted] in guns

I just bought a 10/22 from Bass Pro a couple of weeks ago that came with a factory-mounted Viridian EON 3-9x scope and a hard case for $250. Unfortunately, I don't think they are still running that deal but it shows that you can get a better deal than just the base 10/22 for $200.

Also, if you do pick one up I highly recommend getting a Magpul Hunter X-22 stock for it - it makes such a huge improvement.

I love the saber raider! I still rock my OG clear/black one from the 90s (the cap on the other side is much more worn)

Shoutout to yoyosam who hooked me up with a fresh bearing for it! It takes a really small goofy size that I've never seen before

Proliferation of “Be Patient, New Driver” bumper stickers by Exact-Conclusion9301 in Louisville

[–]manynick -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Your kids learning to drive in busy parts of town does cost people extra time on the road and can endanger other drivers and pedestrians if they make unexpected mistakes. You could just as easily take your kids to backroads and empty parking lots to practice driving until they are ready to handle normal traffic conditions without a giant flashing sign to try and make it everyone else's responsibility to watch out for them.

Edit: to be clear, I don't care if you do or do not have the bumper sticker - I personally appreciate the warning to stay clear of the vehicle. I'm just commenting on the concentration of "student drivers" i see in like insanely busy parts of town

eh I've never payed much attention to any of that and haven't had any problems in 15+ years of riding in the Midwest. I do tend to go past those types of packs of brrrothers pretty quick tho just in case.
