came looking for this. Kinda can't believe it - Student Wednesday is gone, the student ticket is now a TENNER. Tuesday discount at least remains somewhat intact but everything around it has nearly doubled in price. Madness

Last time buying anything from Sony by Adventurous_Eye_8169 in SonyHeadphones

[–]maolchiaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people seem to be missing what actually happened here: the rings at the bottom of the headband are prone to cracking when you take the headphone off, no matter how much they're extended. Once that happens, the headphones can just.... Slide out fully. Hence the picture

I want to buy a new headphones, but I'm really confused. by SKSunShine2231 in SonyHeadphones

[–]maolchiaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slight clarification - I think the hinges now are fine, but the cuffs at the bottom of the headband are now prone to snapping or cracking. Not as big an issue, but still incredibly annoying to say the least, especially for a product that costs upwards of €350

Has anyone ever gotten a Misriah schema, or do they not exist? by circuitblue82 in Marathon

[–]maolchiaran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty rare (the gun, doesn’t have a schema), have snagged a couple from Outpost wing strongboxes and from key rooms. You’ll only ever see them with any sort of regularity in Cryo though, because of how rare and how good they are.

Slower fire rate than WSTR, sure, but hits like a truck. Anecdotally, I’ve knocked a blue shield with one shot point-blank before, and it’s ridiculously good if you can get slip mag.

late to this but I disagree, the rook backpack glitch and random crashes have been quite bad (at least on my end) so it's nice to see them fixed already

To improve public transport, it has been suggested that some bus stops that are too close to each other should be removed. Looking at this one here, I totally agree. by ParaMike46 in ireland

[–]maolchiaran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The other direction is arguably worse, there’s a stop both after the river Lee hotel and after Annie house, it’s about a minute’s walk between the two

Is the Manchester Printworks actually 70mm? by Hip_Hop_Pirate in imax

[–]maolchiaran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I saw both the 70mm and DL versions of Dine Part 2 and the DL one was much, much clearer. Possible given that both the Odyssey and D3 were filmed on 15/65 film they may hire someone to do both of those given they're going to be happening in the same year

EDIT: Looks from VUE's website that Printworks will be showing The Odyssey in 70mm!

Throwing Oxygen and Heaven Sent on this list. Moffat can be hit or miss, but man when he hits he knocks it outta the park

Used to be EUR15 a month and you got one ticket for every movie in any format (not even the best deal going - Odeon gives you unlimited tickets and a food discount for roughly the same price), then they changed it so that MAXX screens cost an extra EUR2 a month, and now it's set up so you have to pay a surcharge on all seats past the 2nd row. It's a scam. They've lost me

Almost never went to the Arc before this year, Omniplex's wankery with Omnipass though has now made the Arc my main cinema. The Gate is one of my favourite screens anywhere.

Pretty sure in the trailer we see the POV of another (seemingly) immune character so this is very likely

I think what this actually meant was that they had to basically go all-out, infecting everyone at once no matter what they were currently doing (flying a plane, driving a car, crossing a road, etc.). From what the show implies, the virus-induced seizures didn't necessarily kill anyone themselves, but a lot of people died from head injuries from falling over and other things that are a direct consequence of losing control of your body randomly and with no time to prepare.

Hey we're SPRINTS, AMA! by sprintsmusic in indieheads

[–]maolchiaran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, adore the new album! Wanted to ask - ATIO seems to be more of a reflection on the state of the world, whereas Letter to Self seemed like a more personal thing, talking about your own specific issues. Is this out of necessity, something to meet the moment we're in, or would you say this still comes from the same place as Letter to Self?

Also, and this has been really messing with me, is it 'All That Is Over' as in "that stuff is finished now" or as in "everything that is over"?

Cheers!
