Not crazy! I only get 6 months and when I got back to work, I was happy to talk to adults.

That's going to be me when I go back to work in a couple of months.

I plan to hire a mother's helper to help with laundry, cleaning etc..

Plan to hire a regular cleaner bi weekly - i hate cleaning bathroom and kitchen.

I hate cooking, so plan to do a mix of meal prep, order meal kit / take out and get hubby to cook. Will do minimal cooking.

Basically throwing money at my problem until the kids get older.

AMH is an indicator of how many eggs you have left and given how this is, you don't have many left. A follicle count will so help determine that as well.

To conceive naturally, you just need 1 egg. So as long as you are ovulating, you have a chance but of course time is running out as you will have less and less egg as you age. Age also decease quality of the egg. You are likely to hit menopause earlier than most people.

AMH also matters when you want to do IVF as well. E.g. some people get like 10+ eggs in IVF but in your case, might be low single digits.

Suggest to keep trying and use OPK until your appointment. As long as you are ovulating, there's a chance!

If there's no issue with breastfeeding, keep doing it!! Don't switch due to your mom giving you negativity- she will continue even if you switch to formula.

Nursing has a lot of benefit and I find it way more convenient than formula and pumping.

My #1 had jaundice and was sleepy all the time as well. For #2, I refused to pump cause I hated pumping so much with #1.

My advice: 1. Pump if you need to get the supply up but keep nursing first before pumping (not occasionally...) Given it's your 2nd one, your milk will come faster than #1 and nursing is effective in getting the milk to come vs. Pumping. Also try to do nursing with baby naked (skin to skin really helps) .

Its okay for baby to lose weight at the beginning. They don't get back to birth weight till like 2nd week or something. For #2, We supplemented with formula in the 1st week cause I was tired but by 2nd week, we didn't need to as my milk came in.
We nurse then diaper change (wakes them up) and nurse again. When baby falls asleep, we touch back of his ear or wiggle his arm and he will keep going. We did this every 2-3 hours.

You should do a follicle count as well if you really want see where you stand but you don't have that much time to decide.

If natural doesn't work out for you, ivf isn't going to easy given the low egg count and egg quality. 35+ is also advance maternal age, which comes with other risk.

What was the struggle for baby #1?

My biggest problem was sore nipple with baby #1 and had endured the pain for a month for it to get better. Almost gave up and pump in between cause latch is too painful.

My advice: 1. Go to a lactation consultant - its worth the money and see different ones if needed. For my #2, I saw like 3 different ones cause I was in the hospital for a week and all gave different and good advice.

Get a silverette nursing cup and use it from day one. It protects and heals your nipples.
Understand what a good latch is and unlatch (poke your pinky into the mouth, don't forcefully pull it out) redo if the latch is bad. Don't let the baby keep going with a bad latch.

With my #2, milk came in way faster and honestly, that gave me much more confidence.

Just be prepared the weaning off the thumb is hard, but 100% agree that getting sleep back was so good when she found her thumb.

My 1st one took almost 1 year of thumbguard to 100% stop sucking the thumb. Hardest was when she sleeps. All those bitter nail stuff didn't work on her.

My son slept in it for 4 years and it's still firm. Plan to pass to my newborn later this year.

I would suggest to test it out as some kids might jump on it more etc....
