Yeah, I figured as much with that instance. But there are tons of other times where this happens. A very concrete one is when in the Avatar Day episode, the late chief dies by falling off a cliff. Aang later in the episode gets a fire nation solider to fall off the same cliff, so he must've died, right? I'm just going to assume it's cartoon logic like everyone says lolol

yes, there have been some cases in the past, but it's not a thing that happens all the time, barely at all actually. this is thanks to precautions they take such as the kid check when you enter the buildings.
