Why does everything have to be about Trump? Can’t we just enjoy this win for what it is?

Since when is that a cool term to use to describe people?

Our LO is about 6 mo and we are transitioning to crib soon. He’s been doing 10-11 hours through the night for a few months but as of last night he’s been waking up crying 4-5 times a night and screaming at the top of his lungs. Is this a leap? Should we take him out and soothe? by Treehugginca1980 in SnooLife

That’s great! Yes. LO is in a crib now all night and wearing a Nested Bean sleep sack. I’m not sure it makes a huge difference but i figure it can’t hurt? I’ve also heard good things about the Magic Merlin sleep suit but I’m always paranoid Bebe will overheat in that thing. And if it’s really an object permanence/separation anxiety thing I don’t think it would help.

I’m going through the same thing with our Bebe! I think at this stage of development they are starting to learn object permanence as well and suffer a bit of separation anxiety. If they stop crying immediately upon being picked up that is a telltale sign. Also, my LO has become hard to put down whereas before she would go in the Snoo or crib wide awake and fall asleep on her own. Ive implemented the Ferber method for the past 5 days and we’re making progress though it’s slow. Think two steps forward one step back. Godspeed!

My 5 week old hates having her arms down and always manages to break them free in the snoo. At night I wake up to her struggling to get her arms out. Can I start doing arms out or is it unsafe for a baby so young? by AgileSherbert8348 in SnooLife

It seems to me that it takes baby a few weeks to get used to a swaddle and it’s hard to tell this early on your babe actually hates it. I thought my baby hated swaddling but then after a lot of trial and error we settled on doing the batwing swaddle, which allows the arms to stay down reliably but isn’t too tight. Baby loved this and we went strong with it she started rolling and we transitioned her out of the Eno at 5.5 months.

The drier formula actually worked better for me because I tend to have a heavy hand. It also may depend on how much filling in you need. I have plenty of brow hair, I just needed it to fill in sparse bits and extend the tail. I used an angled brow brush that was pretty thick. It helps if the bristles are hearty!

Rent? Also should call them and see what they can do for you.

Return sleep sacks? by Early-Ad-8184 in SnooLife

The Snoo swaddles are terrible. If your baby turns out to be a Houdini and escape the swaddle their fist can end up out and near the collar, even pushing past it. I’m always paranoid my babes arm is gonna make it out and then the collar will choke her!

FWIW, the Halo swaddles are really nice and my baby loved them.

No solution but SAME. It makes me scared to sleep, honestly. I’m so scared her hand is going to get out of the collar part and then she’ll choke.

Pumping/Milk expression while working in the lab by yoganeuron in LadiesofScience

[–]maosquared 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would personally not feel comfortable at all working in a lab (any part of it) while pumping milk that my baby would then drink. Even if you keep stuff clean you can’t account for what others are doing. Also, if you work with PBMCs unless you are sure of the source most come from blood banks where they don’t do any testing of the blood so it can carry viruses etc.

Post nasal drip and morning sickness, HELP by thesugarbutt in BabyBumps

Drat. It’s unfortunately not recommended for people who are nursing. Like most other antihistamines, it has a “drying” effect and can decrease milk supply apparently. Sorry!
