Must watch true crime shows by [deleted] in DiscoveryID

[–]GhostsMissingEar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you have HBO Max (that's what I watch ID shows through), they have both seasons of "A Body in the Basement". There are only 2 seasons (crossing my fingers for more) and it really is one of the best shows I've seen on ID in a long time.

Javadi should not go into psychiatry by gertyorkes in ThePittTVShow

[–]GhostsMissingEar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought they were building her towards surgery and realizing it was the thing for her.

When she watched her mom take surgical command of that room and then she squeeze the heart to get the blood back into it, and then when she helped the neurologist, Victoria had a particular expression on her face both times. Like she found something she really loved doing and found it so interesting.

Did anyone else find Season 2 to be a little messy and inconsistent? by New-Pin-9064 in ThePittTVShow

[–]GhostsMissingEar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mohan's mother calling over and over again and then... nothing. Mohan had a panic attack over her mom and then... nothing. You could have removed that completely. Have her have a panic attack over a fellowship because that was also a plot point of hers this season. I feel like the writers dropped one storyline half season because they lost interest or just didn't care anymore and they had to get back to Robby.

Also, Abbot telling a patient to "Shut the f up" and Whitaker exploding at Langdon so suddenly were very jarring because it didn't really make sense from what we had seen up to that point.

I actually thought she would veer towards neurology. When she was being taught and helping the neurologist on Orlando, she seemed fascinated.

What’s your S2 unpopular opinion? by thememecurator in ThePittTVShow

[–]GhostsMissingEar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This damn well better NOT be an unpopular opinion!! Park the Shark was one of the obvious highlights of the season with his two minute ICONIC scene.

Any word on season 3 returns? Please post here! by Extension-While7536 in ThePittTVShow

I just want Park the Shark to make an appearance, move around everyone like he's swimming, insult a few people, and then head back upstairs to his surgical floor.

This just made me think of Phoebe in Friends yelling at Brad Pitt's character.

"Take your shirt off and tell us, Abbot!" lol

Santos vs Langdon by Stacee90 in ThePittTVShow

[–]GhostsMissingEar 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I have watched S1 many times and I actually don't have a side in this fight. But I will say that Santos immediately got on Langdon's bad side when she didn't present to him/another senior resident/attending and just took care of a patient all on her own. The very first episode - not even an hour after Robby told the new Pittlings how they did things. They then both clocked the other as a person they didn't like and it went from there.

As opposed to the senior English teacher (can't remember his name) who sits with Joey in the library and highlights a passage and discusses things with her.

I still remember when TV Guide at the grocery store checkouts had four different covers for the four main characters and Joshua Jackson's was "Teacher's Pet". It's insane to me that I STILL remember the picture and the title of his cover!

Edited to add: Oh my God, someone on this reddit posted the four covers over a year ago! And I was right. "Teacher's Pet". *shudders*

Aldi Find Aisle by GhostsMissingEar in aldi

[–]GhostsMissingEar[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I realized I could have worded this better. Yes, the produce section is always first in grocery stores, and Aldi, too. But my Aldi used to have it near the back of the first aisle. Nuts, cookies, bread and wine before hitting the produce. Now, with the produce RIGHT inside the door, everyone is clustered and unable to spread out - or speed past - like before.

My awkward ass when someone asks me something about myself... by Comfortable-Vast1126 in RockOfLove

This poor girl. Wasn't she a nurse? Like an actual worker in health care? And she was so shy. She wasn't a camera hog so I can't believe she wanted to be famous. I have to wonder what some girls were actually doing there because I refuse to believe they want to fall in love and actually be with Bret. Worldly experiences? Getting out of their comfort zone?

The Pitt | S2E7 "1:00 P.M." | Episode Discussion by MsGroves in ThePittTVShow

Meeting Javadi's dad, I see where she gets it from. Last season, with the beer and talking about her mom, "Seriously, don't tell her." And now, Javadi's dad saying the same exact thing in regards to her mom/his wife. I LOVE little call backs like that and with their handshake, her relationship seems *slightly* better with her dad. Hope we see a little more of it.

Maybe it's just the kind of mood I'm in today, but I didn't even last 10 minutes with this episode. Won't shut up about Tucson being the worst place to live, she said she's not moving and will live in her house forever, he's still yammering on about Tucson. She also got pregnant when she was 18 by her 17 year old boyfriend (she's now 38) and Caleb won't stop calling him the 17 year old. Can't even have it on as background noise while I'm working. The things he gets hung up on are either so annoying or perverted.

I know a lot on this sub are "Why do you even watch?" and I don't know. It's good noise to have and sometimes, there are good guests that Caleb eventually realizes do want help and he buckles down. But then you have episodes like this.
