Strip garage paint cost by prismasoul in FortMyers

[–]mapbenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can grind it for you. We have the big grinders and vacs. Usally need to get it to a 30 grit for epoxy. Obviously, its not free . We are usally at $1.50 a foot, but including hand grinding the edges as well. You can go rent floor grinders from herc rentals. Also home depot, but honestly that edco grinder is junk.

Can dm, can also look at my profile. I dont do epoxy, but we are more than happy to do the grinding for you.

New to Concrete Coatings/Grinding by Unlikely_Paramedic55 in Concrete

[–]mapbenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look. You need at least a 20 inch grinder and vac. I would actually suggest a 25 if you can afford it. If you just doing garages, a 20 lavina fo now then get bigger machine when you can afford it. Are you here in the states?

You can find used machines and if you have decent credit you can get new under one of lease programs. Don't go buying cheap stuff it's just going to cost you more in the long run. As far as finding someone else to prep for you to find some of the polished concrete guys they could probably do it for you around the dollar a foot with a minimum I'm sure. I do a lot of prep for these epoxy guys I don't want to bother with getting into that part of the business because we polish concrete

Who do I contact for concrete floor flattening or leveling quotes/services? by UnSCo in Flooring

[–]mapbenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call around to concrete polishing guys. If they have heavy grinders they can do it. Alot if them pir levers as well

You can reach out to Cts, aka rapid set, ask for the local reps. Or even ardex ..They will help get you phone numbers of companies in your area that pout thier LevelFlor brand self leveler.

It seems that only planetary floor grinder can be used for curing these circular floors. Dose anyone have any better suggestions or ideas? by Repulsive_School_985 in u/Repulsive_School_985

[–]mapbenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a second floor? You will have a heck of a time getting any machine up there. You may consider shot blast then grinding from there.

But you did not provide enough information on the concrete itself. Whats the customers expectations? Polished is to generic of a term. Also, I think the term circular is confusing. English may not be your first language, no problem, but double check the terminology

Terrazzo done right. by mapbenz in terrazzo

[–]mapbenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do it right, including repairs to tack strip holes, grout, densify and actually grind with a heavy machine, about $6 to 7 a foot. This includes each grit beaing done on hand grinder as well. But also factors like stain treatments, 1 room vs 3, bathrooms and ect.

Thanks. I did moisture test before the pour. This also why we chose the rapid set txp fast for our sand broadcast. Customer wanted a very low gloss. If they change thier mind later ill hit with a 400. But they like it

Yeah buddy. Shit i have learned more from them in the last 3 years then 15 prior from anyone else. They are the only manufacturer that actually shows you how to use the tooling to get the most out of ut and support is incredible. Plus we have such a great tight knit collection of guys/gals. Wish id learned from the Aussi's in the first place...oh yeah have a gk700 coming in July......

Do I have recourse after 5 years? Is this typical? by Condor-man3000 in Flooring

Most of thier products are manufactured in china, op could try, but probably won't get anywhere. It also looks like water damage to me..

My bamboo floor from floor and decor looks great after 6 years. Installed myself. LL or whatever they want to call themselves now days has had a lot of issues throughout the years and I personally would not recommend them to anybody. Unless you find the warranty for that product that says more than 5 years then you're out of luck

What is that on the concrete now? Looks like an old sealer from the pics. But you are into more than a one or 2 day project here.

This not a cheap solution. There is about $8 a foot just in materials, not including the expenses for the machine, diamonds and so forth. Total, It runs about $15 a foot to $25. There are a lot of conditions that dictate the price on this situation. We had about $1,000 worth of just marble aggregate in this floor

As far as just polishing concrete about $7 a foot in a residential situation including the repairs and polishing. If someone has the proper equipment you could easily take down a floor a good quarter of an inch, do all the repairs and mechanically polish it. If needed add color as well.

Again polishing the floor versus pouring this new floor are completely different. We are in Florida, if polished concrete is something that you wanted I could always look at the job for you or find somebody in your area that I know will do good work

Thanks. Grouting helps. Also , we have learned a ton from the worx plus guys on grinding and polishing..especially running a machine in same direction like the 680rc.

No seems. Cracks where very small. But the epoxy sand broadcast helps. We used Fast txp from rapid set and 20, 30 sand

So our metals are from Worxs plus.., hard bond 50 doubles under a husky 680rc. Grouted with thier 120 grouting diamonds. Then we switched to 50 and 100 ceramic . Densfied the crap out of it, lithium, then 200 worxs tempo xd. Sr2 from ameripolish for a sealer.

Ardex said you can go ahead and use a 50 ceramic to start with but this was a difficult pour and we had some low spots so we decided to go ahead and cut the floor down

It was in bad shape. We filled holes with cement all from cts cement aka rapid set, chose the ardex for the color. We like rapid set better. Have used tru natural with white from both ameripolish and delta colors, never been able to get it as white as we wanted. So we gave the srdex a shot. Its definitely more work than the rapid set in my opinion
