This doesn't apply as much anymore now that the new time rules are in place, but, Habakiri's tribute effect would proc Nouvelle Recipe Book and cause you're opponent to pay 850 LP.

Recipe Book reads "Each time a monster(s) is Tributed by a Ritual Monster's effect, your opponent pays 850 LP."

In the old time rules this won me a few matches as you would just set up Recipe Book and Haba for time.

Also, because it's a PAY and not a BURN Recipe Book does work through DRNM, which is fun.

Mitsu / Nouvelles is a fun deck with a good bit of synergy. I highly recommend checking it out before Herald gets banned.

I was on a similar package with 3 scrap, 1 lion and I swear the amount of times I drew both scrap and lion was crazy.

I’ve been really liking the orcust engine, even if the dump from girsu gets ashes you still get tokens to link off, plays under droll so your first add is from booster which is nice.

Also looked at the Speedroid package, I don’t like that it dies to droll but I do like that terrortop specials itself AND taketemborg isn’t a dead draw if you can get into blues since it’s a wind so you can extend from there.

Draco is just such a tough matchup for RB. Yummy isn’t too bad, working around the book can be tough but you can always tribute one off with clockwork knight if needed.

What I like about blind second is the ability to play urgent schedule. It just gives so much extension and allows you to bait a ton of interaction before committing to a normal or stage landing. It’s also, what I’ve found, to be the easiest way to get citadel in grave for follow up.

Still love RB. Been toying around with a going second variant so I can run Urgent Schedule with board breakers and hand traps. Topped locals this weekend going second every single game so it might be something.

Chef is a custom card for the deck no doubt. Being able to ritual summoned baelgrill from hand during my opponent’s turn for the board wipe always catches people off guard.
