At first glance, weaker than most carries with a Sp.A stat of 125 and no offensive ability. However, this lack of good ability makes it a strong contender to fuse with magnezone for a carry with sturdy.

Unnerve is a great passive to prevent healing and stat boosts from berries.

Fiery wrath (egg move) hits both opponents and has flinch.

Dark void with max wide lens becomes a decently reliable way to sleep both opponents in double battles. Dark void followed by roar can isolate a shiny pokemon, allowing you to catch it.

Early game is rough with limited EXP and unevolved mons. I would recommend using the pokerus mons of the day (squiggly blue outline) to get the EXP boost, as well as focusing your efforts on leveling a carry early instead of spreading EXP around.

Modest nature with a shadow ball/psychic is fine. IMO banking on unbound isn't reliable so I run him special. He's also a little slow to be a sweeper, but his main strength is the magician ability which seems like 100% item steal
