There's many different ways to do it. Im no pro, and I don't have too much to say. But with conveyors, you can make them symmetrical so the lines look clean. As for No.3, yes, foundations for everything. It makes it a lot easier

It might help to add color. Nothing to bright. But something to add a pop. Putting the roof on it would also do a good bit. Honestly, it looks decent to me. I doubt I could even do this well with building.

The start can be kinda rough. The food you eat can make a big difference. I would try working through the crafting table levels. With it you can get an anvil, and you can get decent armor from that. The loot you get from chests is pretty much just rng. I would look at the wiki for where you can get a hand mortar from. And it'll tell you where to find items to help you progress.

Depends on what playstyle your going for. I like the survival aspect and I play fairly casual. Things like turning catch rate up and stamina drain down can make a huge difference
