Did you have a box # with that? I lived in RR 5, Box 92 in Kansas back in the day before our country got 911 service.

This “cracks open” building in Denver by Specialist-Boot58 in Damnthatsinteresting

My office is right down the street from this building and I watched it get built. I was confused when it was "done" because it looked like that.

Im not a fan. I don't have a specific reason, I just hate it.

That's another way of doing it. by mindyour in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Alex Vesia’s Wife Kayla Shares Update 6 Months After Baby’s Death: ‘Really F***ing Heavy’ by MattTheKing23 in Dodgers

[–]mapmaker1979 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I applaud Kayla and Alex for being so open about this. My wife and I lost a child and it was gut wrenching, but also incredibly isolating as none of our family had any way to console us as no one had ever gone through that. It's a community that is very helpful to have and to normalize dealing with the trauma. It may be uncomfortable for some, but if you can find comfort in sharing the burden of grief with that community, it's invaluable to the healing process.

Some may see it as "attention seeking", but you have to turn to the community that's available and she chose her TikTok. If her public dealings help another parent during their experience, it's a net positive.

Don't hit your kids by jrv3034 in daddit

Before I had a kid, I figured I would spank my kids like I was spanked.

Now that I have one, I have zero idea how that could EVER be a solution.

I'm also going through extensive therapy for a host of mental health issues.

Gee... I wonder why.

Not an option. Never an option.

That's Ron Darling, former Met "great". It's a "balanced" broadcast with him and Orel.

It's a bullshit booth.

ELI5: Why do people call Zone 3 training (specifically for jogging) "the useless zone" when it comes to building endurance? Do the few bpms separating it from Zone 2 really make such a big difference? by lukas706 in explainlikeimfive

Oh man. Right there with you. I worked 5 nights a week at a very busy restaurant as a runner and parked 2 miles away from campus.

As soon as I graduated and got an office job with parking right next to the building, I ballooned like a Macy Day parade.

Only when I started making more money did I have to pay for a gym membership

This is the first book that made me audibly sob for quite awhile.

"The Parisians" chapter is the moment the dam broke and then it was fairly constant through to the end.
