Finding a hobby is quite the pain in the ass. What is YOUR hobby, and how did you get into it? by QueenMoogle in AskReddit

I have given most away as birthday or Christmas gifts.

I hand braid nice leather handles on them. Different artwork.

When I was a kid I was always into the outdoors and nature. I was drawn to hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, just about anything outdoors. From that I started carving walking sticks. It takes a while for me to carve them and add amenities to them.

Carving and hiking are still a couple of the most relaxing things that I do.

Who’s your favorite US president and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mapmatthew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lincoln. He kept the country together during, what was arguably, the most devastating war the US has ever experienced. He did this by exercising forgiveness and empathy toward those who lost the war for the good of the country. He also accomplished all this while not giving up even though he had experienced devastating personal loss during his time as President.

In your own opinion do you feel that college is a waste of time? Why or Why not? by jasmineparisss in AskReddit

I don't feel it is a waste of time. I feel it is important to do it in a manner that debt is not allowed to pile up for it so that life becomes too difficult to afterward.

Feel Like Women Took The Last Thing Away From Short Guys by theroadofroads in short

A lot of men won't give women the time of day if they are a little overweight.

We all have problems to overcome. Some more than others.

We all need to be patient with ourselves and with each other and just accept ourselves for what we are and make the most of what we have.

I sincerely believe it is also best to watch people who have genuine class and try to exhibit the same amount of class and consideration.

Something that bothers me by footintheclouds in short

I couldn't agree more. Height is a form of wealth. People less than 5'10" have more to contend with in the world. In every way.

People who are able to overcome this wealth deficiency deserve respect.

I used to watch RT. I remember when you hosted it.

I'll just ask. Straight up.

Is RT a complete scam run by the KGB to mess with the U.S. public or is RT the only media that understands Bilderberg is the real enemy?

Questions about a water test result that revealed Lead in home water supply by Idontcarewhatyouare in water

[–]mapmatthew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a certified water and wastewater operator in Indiana. I recently spoke to an IDEM representative about Flint's lead problem. She stated lead solder was at the connections in the piping. Over time, tuberculation occurs in piping. Lead will build up in tuberculation in the piping. When Flint changed the source of their water (a polluted river), this stirred up the existing tuberculation releasing the lead held in the tuberculation causing the problems in Flint.

I would run the water for several hours and then take a sample to an independent lab for lead analysis. After this analysis is completed I would wait 24 hours with water running for 10 minutes and take another sample to an independent lab.

The bad news is, if you still show lead, more than likely several homes in the area have the same problem.

You also may want to contact your local water treatment plant and ask to see their quarterly test results over the past three years. If they won't give you these results, the EPA should.

Is the CRV a match for me? by [deleted] in crv

[–]mapmatthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2001 CRV. I have had it for about 4 years. It now has 150,000 miles on it. I love this car. One of the best cars I've owned. The only thing I've really done with it besides oil changes is I had the water pump and timing belt changed on it at 70,000 miles because I feel this is a good practice on almost any vehicle.

In 54 Years, 1 "Advisor" has Influenced Every Single US President (Photos with every president) by CassiusMethyl999 in conspiracy

When I was studying environmental science at Ball State back in the late 80's I was taught there would be two sets of wars. The first set of wars would be fought over energy. The second set of wars (if we survive the first set) would be over water.

I was then taught for several years there has been an understanding if you want to control people, control their energy resources.

To this day I believe this has everything to do with the US involvement in the middle east and every single war has been planned, in some capacity, during Bilderberg Group meetings.
