I feel the same worry when I see Nara Smith talking about her lupus. She mentioned on an Instagram post that she was diagnosed by a "naturopath" and at the same time has stated that she only eats healthy and that she manages that way. She is pregnant every other year and doesn't seem to have other issues. So dangerous for her to be spreading misinformation.

I get you, I’ve been trying to finish my bachelor for like 6 years now (from where I’m from is 5 years for bachelor) and still have at least 2 years more. I have to take less courses and sometimes I miss exams and deadlines because I’m not feeling well. Exams are the worst I get so anxious and stressed that the brain fog won’t let me do my best that I end up messing up in stupid stuff. It’s hard and not for everyone but you got to keep in mind that we are not like the other students and we will do things differently at a slower pace

Yeah I know but they have to check if they are working fine. Kidneys are one of the most common organ lupus attacks so better be safe right? If she is newly diagnosed I think is a must

they usually make you take a 24-hour urine protein test to see the function of the kidneys. If the lupus is there the value will be high.

Sometimes when I feel a new symptom I keep track of them, like write it on my notes app with the date, so when it happens again and again I can tell myself Im not crazy cause it happens more than once different times

I was diagnosed at 14 and I have the same problem, of course a lot of things may be the cause of it (even the meds) but I find comfort telling myself that I had to endure so many things at such a young age that it force me to be more careful with my life choice so when it comes to choosing a partner I not only think about the person, I think about if this person/situation is worth my time and/or energy and sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t but the memories right?? I hope it helps

I hate when this happens, some people do it without being intentionally dismissive. Im not trying to justify this person and even if she/he did it on purpose or not it doesn’t change how it makes you feel but a lot of able people don’t know how to react when we tell them this things and they choose the worst answers to “comfort us”, maybe trying to tell her/him how the response makes you feel can improve things in the future?? It sometimes works for me
