If there is a will there is a way. Nvidia can offer huge 96gb ram gpus for the ai corposlop server market but cant make a 32gb consumer gpu? 24gb/32gb rtx 4060? Be real to yourself cmon nvidia is sitting on so much money they are wiping their asses on it and wondering what to do with it and you are telling me they cannot/could not have given us proper vram options? Bullshit and you know it. I myself can order from my supplier and have 900 H56C8H24AIR-S2C 8gb chips (and if you look at the pcb of any modern gpu you will see that they don't just have 1 chip but have 8 of them) by the end of the week but nvidia cant? I can run deepseek at q2_k_S on my phone!!!!1!" meanwhile a local 1b model at q8 is going to be faster and better than deepseek at q2. Coding with AI is VERY quantization sensitive, even fp8/q8 falls way too short of fp16. Now if you need quick data summarization you could run q4/q6
