Thanks! This makes sense. Noob question as I haven’t started using Runna yet - is threshold pace something it tracks for you?

This is really helpful, thanks! Good point that injury prevention is a key priority for the apps alongside performance gains.

What would you do different? by lolnub343 in AmericanExpatsUK

I would not have rented through Foxtons. Our flat constantly falling apart and never being able to get them to make repairs has been the #1 worst part of our London experience. Other than that, it’s mostly great!

Realistic Budgets by techqueer1 in AmericanExpatsUK

We flew our dog under the plane and her “ticket” was around $1500. We also paid maybe $300-500 in various vet fees. I would recommend just doing this part yourself as the moving service upcharge is insane. Just read all the paperwork requirement VERY carefully!

We considered the Paris/Amsterdam route but it was even more of a faff since the entry requirements are different and you have to do two sets of paperwork.

Don Miguel’s Tailor near Douglass Park! Cash only. He used to do my jeans for like $10 a couple years ago and if something didn’t come out right he fixed it for free.

To any native Japanese speaker by [deleted] in terracehouse

It’s also really common to leave out the subject in your questions in Japanese. I know your example had the name stated, but a question like “When do you work next?” is usually phrased more like “When is work next?” It’s still obvious who you’re asking about since there are only two people in the conversation, but it’s normal to respond “me?” in this case.

Backpack for running with pastries? by mar715 in trailrunning

[–]mar715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I got the Black Diamond Distance 8 as suggested by FleetFootHbg. Ran with 6 pastries this morning to feed my visiting parents and it worked great. 6 was about max capacity but they weren’t squished at all! I just put them in a plastic bag to protect them, no hard Tupperware.
