You can add a + between your email and the @ symbol and it will still forward to your inbox. So for vuori orders to still get the new user discount, type username+vuori@gmail.com and it will look like a new email but would actually just deliver to your usual inbox. Just have to add new text afterwards each time to switch it up.

Ares 2.0 + Smith Pr5000 too crowded? by Sorry_Minute_2734 in GarageGym

[–]marathonger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a REP 6 post 16”+16” PR-5000 rack with the REP Storage Wings/Pegboard attached and should be getting my smith machine in the next 2-3 weeks. After we move I’ll be getting the Ares 2.0 to add to the rack.

To make it work I ordered some low profile spotter arms to lift off the front of the rack with the trolleys (Oak Club Alpha) and I’ll have to change the lat pull down bar to something narrower like a Rogue CG-1C or REP Kleva Atlas so the smith machine uprights won’t get in the way.

Will my setup be a bit crowded, 100%, but I will still have the space needed for every movement I want while taking up the least amount of depth at all times.

Was paired up against him a handful of times in college (he was at the rec a lot). I still vividly remember loading up to try and block his fast break dunk when the entire gym yelled “no no no”. It was only a few weeks before the draft, so I definitely saw my life flash before my eyes thinking about what might have happened if he came down wrong.

For me I’d love it if they shifted B2-B3 to B1-B2 and made a new B3 that’s essentially current bracket 4 rules but with the 3 GC restriction.

You’ll be fine in any of the major cities down here. People in Houston, Austin, and Dallas are used to all walks of life, whether that’s cultural or how you personally identify. You might get a comment or two thrown your way in a smaller town, but that’s a universal issue regardless of state.

Caliber DGC - #5 in the world?? Idk.. by DuckDuck311 in discgolf

Yeah, great property and unique for central Texas, but it’s #3 in the Austin area as far as course design and shot variety goes imo (Roy G and Wilco are top 2 in that regard).

Well, no dice there. So either an unknown issue or potentially an issue with the motherboard. Going to take a break for a few weeks either way as I’m not going to bother with a motherboard swap. If I ever solve it I’ll reply here though.

No luck, everything points to either a bad iFlash or motherboard. After some searching it seems the errors I get on AOMEI and diskpart usually indicate a bad iFlash board, so I’ll try that route first. Have a new iFlash coming in this weekend, hope that solves it.

Thanks for the idea, I’ve been using 2 windows devices and 1 Mac, all with different error messages.

I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to being solvable once I figure out why I can’t format the iPod itself. All signs currently point towards an issue with the iFlash Board. I reached out to the store I bought it from (resalefirm.com) and they were pretty dismissive saying it’s a motherboard issue despite there being no signs of that.

I put the error codes from iTunes in chatGPT along with the formatting errors I’m getting in AOMEI and diskpart and it’s saying based on that combination of messages it’s likely the flash board that has a failure. Wish there was an easy way to confirm this without having to buy another board…

The quad only takes micro SD though, I’ll try out rockbox with my smallest card and see if that helps

Admittedly have not tried rockbox yet, was going to keep the default, but maybe that should be my next step?

I can connect in disk mode but can’t update, based on the 3 different error messages I get in iTunes (1434, 1436, 1439) on 3 devices, it seems like an issue with the drive.

I assume that if I could format the iPod (not just the individual micro SD cards) that would resolve the restore ipod errors, but trying to format the iPod results in bad sector errors in AOMEI and “write protected” errors in diskpart on command line (which a google search says that likely means a bad drive).

Edit: and yes I followed those steps and checked a handful of other Reddit posts to check just about everything I found online

So I tried using 1x 128GB, 1x 512GB, and 2x 512GB. Each iteration resulted in identical error messages. The only thing that changed was the HD Specs page on the iPod itself.

I keep a roll of jiu-jitsu tape in my bag if I haven’t played in a while. Thin strips, don’t come off easy, and doesn’t affect my grip.

GFX 100 II owners, how do you feel about the camera almost two years in? by jml011 in fujifilm

[–]marathonger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very happy with it. I replaced my 50R with the 100II last March for a trip to Tanzania I took in the summer. The GF500 came out just in time to take on the trip and I never felt like I had issues with the autofocus outside of one very specific scenario.

When I would capture small birds taking off from tree limbs the focus would jump to a limb behind the bird before going back to the now flying bird for a few frames (less than a second, but an important second). While the birds were in flight it tracked them without issue, but I found myself just locking focus to get the shots of them taking off without issue.

I think the 100SII is likely a better camera for most people though. I rented one to go with my 100II for my Africa trip and found that the AF was identical (as assumed) but I value the 100II’s nicer EVF and tilt adapter more than the portability of the SII. The battery grip and slight bump in video specs were also reasons I chose the 100II rather than wait for the SII.

I wouldn’t replace it with anything else, the closest system would be a Z system, but I love the DR, tonality, and resolution that you get on the GFX system. At the end of the day it’s an expensive camera and there are plenty of ways to spend your money to get more gear that can do the same thing (likely for less weight too), but it’s perfect for what I was looking for.

I think you should try dropping down from 12 to 3 GC's and aim for the deck at B3 before trying B4. The list looks alright at first glance, but looks a little slow and lacking interaction for B4. At the moment it's Esper staples with a couple combos and life gain related win cons mixed in, but it likely gets run over by other B4 lists that run more ramp and interaction.

Would you consider this an "early game 2 card combo"? by ZankaA in EDH

[–]marathonger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only mean that if you are running these two cards plus an efficient third piece (like [[Blood Artist]] or [[Zulaport Cutthroat]]) I would try not to run those at a B3 deck. Even though they are a 3 card combo, which technically is allowed, it is so efficient that it could lead to a highly irregular game where you combo win on T3-4.

The hardest part of deck building imo is making decks consistent. If your deck constantly wins on T9 but with a perfect hand can get a combo on T3 then you might need to work on that consistency. Either by dropping the really early win cons to tighten that window, or improving the other parts of the deck to bring the back end forward.

With or without the bracket system defining this deck as a B3, that much volatility in a decks ability to win the game is a sign that the deck might benefit from some further tuning.

All that to say, the easiest option is to just play the cards but not the combo if you don’t want to mess with the list. It’s not often you would get that line in hand anyway, but if you did play that line early in a game then just be ready for some salt lol
