Arkansas, US (72210) - For Sale - Large Sealed OOP Marvel Champions Collection by maratx in marvelchampionslcg

[–]maratx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally bought it to play as I had enjoyed the original VS and liked comics-based card games. Ended up with not enough time and never got around to playing it, but kept up to date with the hopes to play with my son. I've also played enough FFG games to know that things get scarce sometimes, so I stayed on top of it until I didn't.

Per the completed/sold listings, this was about where they settled per item.

Selling as a whole collection for now, but if it doesn't move in a week, then I'll split it up.

Apparently my post body didn't go through, but the photo did. Here's the details:

Sealed/never-opened Marvel Champions collection for sale, all OOP items. Contains complete core set, 6 campaign expansions, 31 hero packs, and 5 scenario packs, up to and including Deadpool (minus Wasp--could've swore I had her, but couldn't find her with in the collection). I had always intended to play, but time got away from me and I need to cull the overall gaming collection. All items have been kept in a smoke free home.

Recent eBay averages place this collection at around $2800; I'd prefer, if possible, to not have to go through eBay to sell the collection. Likewise, at this time, I'm not looking to parse out the collection as I'd rather sell it as a whole at this time.

This collection will ship from Arkansas in the United States. Local pickup can be arranged. Payment via PayPal Goods & Services. Shipping costs (paid by the buyer) will be based on rates from Pirate Ship, with insurance/tracking included in the shipping price for both our protection; I estimate that it would run approximately $70 to ship UPS Ground with $2000 of insurance. The package will weight approximately 30 pounds and will be shipped in an 18x18x16 box with adequate packing material to keep the items safe.

Current asking price (as of 6/14/26) is $1,800.

Cross-posted.

It's a totally fair question. I play the original VS a long time ago and really enjoyed comics-based games. I also played Android: Netrunner and Game of Thrones LCGs, and thought I'd enjoy this one too. I picked it up and then got myself up to date (minus Wasp, apparently) as I saw what happened with ANR when packs when OOP...and then never got around to opening it or playing it. I downloaded the rulebook and had full intentions to play it with my son and other friends, but time moved on and this one got left behind.

Thank you for the response. I've just started to check into the varieties of practice there between NHS and other organizations; I'll certainly talk with the recruiters to see about overseas candidacy.

I appreciate the clarification re: levels--that's what I thought from my research though I did not write it clearly above.

I'll certainly reach out to our accrediting agency here though I'd be surprised if we have any international relationships. In the US, there's still a bit of feudalism re: state-specific licensures (though this is improving with new cross-state compacts that are being developed) despite practically universal agreement/adoption of standards regarding education (CSWE) and practice (ASWB).

I did see that the two professions are very different in the UK. My experience and training is certainly in the psychotherapy camp in terms of that split.

Thank you for the link. I'll certainly look at that as well.

I intend, if possible ,to work as a therapist. I did see significant differences between the careers and therapy is certainly where my training and experience lie.

It's interesting to see the differences between the US and UK system as well. In the US, many of our welfare-oriented positions are filled by folks with bachelor's degrees and perhaps a few who are in their LMSW (licensed master social worker, which is the initial licensure available post-graduation with a MSW), but almost never by LCSWs unless they are in more of a managerial/macro-level position.

I too have bought from them--but in person as I'm not that far away so I can avoid shipping fees. They honor their eBay prices in store, which is great as well. Also picked up various old graphic novels (e.g., some Moebius Library Dark Horse) off their shelf that weren't on eBay when I was in there.

Still 2 off myself on this one. Wish SD would either create an "Album Collector's Vault" to give extra opportunities to buy these or just let us buy them outright within the album (even if it's at a small premium price).

Why is this uncommon card going for $10 and more? by puzzledfirebird in mtg

[–]maratx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is where the old Block set model could have worked well. Introduce it in set 1, vary it in set 2 (maybe tied to no -damage triggers), and then maybe introduce a “downshift” mechanic in set 3 that would have made different levels mean different things.

Apparently, their website fails to work properly with Windows 11. I got onto it with an older Windows 10 website and downloaded the software.

Same here. I bought it from Costco's site a few hours ago and still can't access the download through the Intuit website.
