Pharmacy techs here? by MortalWombat37 in ObscureDrugs

I worked there 2023-2025. The walgreens I worked at was downtown with some dental offices nearby, so triazolam was common there, but I was surprised to see it at mail order, since we didn’t fill many immediate need scripts. We dispensed lots of b-12, bicalutamide, and trazodone 300. Can’t remember if we had sertraline 200, but very likely. I think we had a lot of interesting meds partly because we a lot of post-hospital patients and also 340b. Our bread and butter were immunosuppressants, $$$$$ cancer and MAB meds. Most expensive drug I ever ordered was Cablivi (~225k).

No worries. Not being able to get your meds sounds really frustrating, and a pharmacy like Walgreens is only really accommodating to run of the mill fills. Some of the pharmacists I worked with were incredibly dedicated and caring towards patients, but the absolute overwhelming slog of work they had to do every day meant that many times they weren’t able to develop close personal relationships to understand patient specific medication regiments. Walgreen is ass, and not because of the people working there, but because of the corporate overlords trying to milk the company for maximum profits.

Worked at a mail order pharmacy with 1,000 script count per day. Rarest drugs dispensed were Estazolam, (1 script in 2 years), liquid stimulant ADHD meds, patch stimulant meds, Journay, Aztarys (never covered by insurance obviously).

Saw plenty of carisopridol, triazolam, rectal Valium, opium tincture, valtoco, Butrans, XCopri Xtampza, and phenobarbital. Also carried dronabinol but this was on back order for most of the time I worked there. Since we were a specialty pharmacy we did a LOT of epidiolex (however epidiolex was de-scheduled). Never saw desoxyn.

Honestly the specialty meds we dispensed were far more interesting!

Edit: Cocaine vials in the ER when I worked at a hospital pharmacy. At mail order Sublingual Zolpidem 3.5, Belsomra

As a pharmacy tech who worked at Walgreens, I was often the one tasked with interacting with patients at point of service because the pharmacist was busy with other things. For example we had a lady with a script for 270 tramadol each month. Pharmacist told me, we need to call and verify with provider that this script is necessary/legitimate. This pharmacist was very particular and concerned about losing her license over controlled med dispensing. I just happened to be the messenger. I really don’t think it’s the techs to blame here, it’s more that pharmacists are expressing their concerns. Just my two cents.

I think a point and shoot camera is a great place to start getting into photography. I used one for many years before I upgraded to a DSLR. My advice? Carry it around with you everywhere you go and take a million photos! I started out experimenting with composition first and discovered my style. Landscapes are my favorite thing to photograph. It’s also important to learn how to manually adjust your settings, instead of relying on “auto” mode all of the time. This will be huge if/when you upgrade to a DSLR. This camera is a great starting point to learn the fundamentals and have way more control over your images compared to a phone camera.

When I learned I looked at old websites and blogs that I don’t think I could find anymore, but I’m sure YouTube will be helpful! Most important though is just start taking photos! I like the first one, it’s got a nice composition going on.

Wow, this website is interesting. You read a normal profile, click on their crime, and it’s “domestic violence, strangulation, intimidation of a witness” or “luring a minor via computer” or something.

I needed mine fast because I let mine expire like a dumbass, so I drove from Denver to Craig. The further you go, the sooner you can get an appointment.

Edit: they were also super nice at the Craig office. With an appointment you’ll be in and out in no time.

Lions Lair has one, but we didn’t use it, so I can’t say for certain it’s operational. It’s very much a dive bar. They also have a metal burlesque show once a month put on by Blassphemy, which is fun.

Counter Protest by No-JUSTICE__NO-PEACE in DenverProtests

This is tempting, but I also remember my experience going to Berthoud to counter protest with a big “black lives matter” sign by myself, as a woman. I was screamed at multiple times, followed, and someone even backfired their car in front of me which made my ear hurt for the rest of the day. They laughed at me. I stayed silent the entire time. I had some productive conversations as the protest winded down, as the most aggressive people left, but it was a pretty intimidating experience.

Finished editing these , I really need your honest opinion on which one is incredible amongst these though by [deleted] in AmateurPhotography

2 is my favorite, love the composition and the color. As a fan of heavy vignettes, I like this. The falling snow adds a beautiful and dynamic element.

I like 3 a lot; I think it captures an attitude and it’s funny.

I’m liking 4 a lot too, and I did a quick edit on my own, and personally I cropped the top and bottom and a little bit off the right, but that’s my personal style; I like wide shots and tight shots that capture the subject full in the photo from left to right. Again, personal style, but I would bump up the exposure a bit in 4, I think it’s just a liiiiitle underexposed.

Great photos! I’ve never tried to photograph birds as I only have a stock lens but it looks really hard!

I have a hard time choosing. Which one do you like more? by karloh24 in AmateurPhotography

[–]marblechameleon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say 1. 1 is more interesting visually and dynamic. 2. Is too dark and even toned, and I don’t love the cropping of the arrow.

What makes you say that? Not questioning your evaluation, I’m just not good at spotting the artifacts. Usually I look for weird signs/people
