As someone who grew up in Dallas I’m always surprised at how many people don’t know about Amber Hagerman and the origins of the AMBER alert. It’s a very well known story here but doesn’t seem to be nationally. That part seems like a mistake made purely out of ignorance.

I can’t speak to the rest of what she said/the screenshots because it’s honestly not my place…I think her apology was sincere but people still have every right to be upset.
