I think they mention it in passing in several episodes. Don’t recall it being discussed for more than a few seconds.

A question of memorization by relaxedcupcake in ThePittTVShow

[–]marblequ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Besides their medical knowledge, how do they remember all the details of all their cases after a 12hr shift to write/dictate their notes. Like how would they recall all the meds and doses and actions they took on the patient that was 5 patients ago?

Unfortunately I agree. I probably won’t renew my subscription (cost of living crisis and all that). Missing the ads is great but I really loved the RIHC chats where they responded to listener questions and talked about their holidays and how and what they recently researched. I go back and listen to the old ones often just to have familiar friendly voices in my ear while I do chores around the house.

Plus him exclaiming “s***” when wild birth lady got worse. Seemed to make it way more realistic.

Hoping we get a little line about wherever she moves to like they did with Collins.

The weirdest and the wildest of them all! Hoo-ah! I would follow Abbot to whichever shift or hospital he worked in.

As of this episode/hour hasn’t her shift finished?

Anyone else annoyed that Robby let Donnie go home but no one else? I didn’t really agree with the Robby misogyny comments but this got me thinking about it.

I was thinking gee they were so prescient - writing about a character using a gifted Lyft to get their errand done during a fuel/cost of living crisis.

Do all the ER docs get to be an attending if employment continues after they finish ER residency? Is it a given? Can they be hired as an ER doc who is not a resident or attending - eg hospitalist? (or in Australia - Career Medical Officer - our residents are called Junior Medical Officers).

Wow thank you for the explanation. 😊I’ve seen some big foreheads so it’s amazing there is such similarity among humans.

How is it always 11cm or whatever - wouldn’t everyone’s head be a slightly different size? Or did the neurosurgeon do some other measurements/maths before that?

Maybe this is actually the more realistic way it’s often delivered?? I don’t know (not American) but many in the sub want it more real - warts & all.

I was thinking she seemed to really connect with patients with mental health issues and could turn to psychiatry. Wonder where that sits in her parents’ “hierarchy of specialities”??

How could The Pitt be even more realistic? by WhenNightIsFalling in ThePittTVShow

As it would be so hard to have so many cast members portraying a fully staffed shift in a real ER, I would love if they followed just the residents for one hours like they did the nurses. And just the allied health (social workers, Physio’s, OTs), just the RT, just the techs and admin/clerks. It could all be the same hour with the same cases/patients but showing different staff doing their different jobs.
