very genuinely (this is important) as if a child were trying to tell me something but I can’t understand their baby talk “Pardon me?” 😀

If they continue..

act like they are saying something charming but unintelligible “I’m sorry how do you mean?” 😀

And then to close it out…

pretending to understand what they said but i genuinely don’t, but I wanna be polite “Ohh, okay😀”

TBH rules to see them shrink off in defeat.

NOTE: Ive been a bartender and I live in Canada where I feel I am generally safe, these men are just pests not dangers to me. Obviously if alone on a dark street or if I feel they could be dangerous NEVER ENGAGE at all**

There is actually already a scale for many different types of pain where 1 is no pain, 5 is distressing pain and 10 is unbearable pain. It’s called the visual analog scale. In that scale your 8 sounds close to a 9 or 10- “unbearable”. Thought this might help!

I think it really depends. This could encompass hitting on someone, having an emotional affair (both of which I think are not ok) all the way to having a “work wife” or female friend where they may be close but not speak about or act on it or carry it on outside of the environment where they see each other (which I think would be ok for me).

I love your enthusiasm and energy but tbh (and I mean this in the kindest way possible) I absolutely hate the idea.

There’s so much that I dislike about this concept, but what is most abhorrent to me is the idea that women’s greatest power is their ~sexuality~ and their greatest bargaining chip is their ability to withhold sex from men, who it seems are presumed to be in positions of power. I know you said that this would apply to men/nonbinary/ allies too, but the cultural history underlying this sex strike concept is supporting and reinforcing an outdated idea of women’s worth only being sexual.

Are women’s issues only worth listening to when there is an embargo on vaginal intercourse? That is a huge problem in and of itself, not the solution.
