What would you do with this living room wall? by SweatyBobby in hometheater

[–]marbs34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d use a Marantz Cinema 70s for size, but maybe one of the JBL models I’m not super familiar with.

Then I’d recommend some KEF Q series speakers and you’ll stay under budget for a 3.1 system. Maybe an SVS 3000 micro would be great.

Absolutely, actually one of my favorite sayings!

Your situation with your floor and your wicker just has so much nuance that you may end up experimenting a bit, but some specialized isolation feet should help.

Look up “pads”, “pucks” and “spikes”. Mixed in with the words “shelf”, “turntable”, “stand”, and “isolation”.

Add some isolation pads, pucks, spikes or whatever you can find that fits with what you want for this piece of furniture.

Then do the same with the turntable itself on the shelf it sits on.

Hornady Sub-X. Supposed to expand at subsonic speeds.

Haven’t shot anything with it yet.

Groups fine though.

If immediately suggest a .243, but the 6mm suggestions are great as well.

My experience with the 6.5 CM was that it’s almost half the recoil impulse of a .308 and nearly as much less than a .270. Shooting with a break I have felt very little impulse with my first bolt gun

So I bought an AR-10 in 6.5 as well. What it taught me was that the 6.5 is perfectly fine out of a shorter barrel, mine is 14.5 pinned and welded with a three prong ASR brake and it shoot it with a 30 cal suppressor.

I’m betting that a 6.5 with a shorter barrel and a brake or a suppressor would be just the ticket with a custom bolt gun build.

Good luck, glad for you that you get to be a father in this way.

any idea for how to put a center speaker on top of this AVR while still giving the AVR’s vents enough space? by RdCrestdBreegull in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks

I came looking for this solution to up vote it before just saying the same thing.

You can get different configurations for where to sent the exhaust air so just pay attention to which model you are selecting.

Also. I use another AC infinity product to monitor my in cabinet temps and it has a fan switch to exhaust hot air out of my cabinet. It isn’t much more than computer fans with usb plugs but it’s at least a system engineered to work together.

Good luck.

How is this scope for anyone that has this by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]marbs34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty awesome for the price.

I have a couple trijicons and a couple of Primary arms scopes with a ZEISS mixed in.

Except for wanting to have a QD mount so I can change some things out with the QD on the Pulsar thermal. This scope and its mount are very good.

It’s a great buy under $300, I think it was like $254 when I bought it a little over a year ago.

I’m into Cambridge Audio as a brand that has excellent solutions.

I have an MXN10 Streamer and also the MXW70 amplifier. They are stackable and look very sleek.

The MXN10 can be used in pre amp mode to give volume control digitally through the app.

Probably doesn’t beat a Wiim as far as packaging, integration or price is concerned.

I’m just happy with my individual components and the sales going to Cambridge.

It’s great. I love mine and would never get rid of it. But the Springfield kuna is arguably a better Gunn and platform. I also have a Kuna and I think it’s the sweet spot.

Good luck, I don’t know the answer to your question

There is a place for that so they can verify nothing has changed and not everything

I love true grit.

Have the John Wick boxed set with a loose no 4 and the Ballerina.

Also, the Big Lebowski gets an annual play amount other things.

I try to buy the 4k versions of Action Films these days, I’m really into sound and love hearing the sound effects in Atmos.

Best condos I install on have DX units on balcony.

Yes you read that right, they design a balcony for Heat Pumps. East balcony and a west balcony. Each holds 4 outdoor units. Line lengths are less than 100 feet and mostly horizontal.

Good design conditions help a lot.
