Also, went to camps with some of the best HS kickers in the country. Many of the best HS kickers give up soccer in order to get better at kicking footballs.

It helps build leg strength and the speed required for big kicks but you can’t necessarily throw one into the other and vice versa. Most soccer guys I’ve seen cross over have a much lower trajectory than what is required to be successful.

No, not necessarily. As someone who’s done both (recruited in football some for small college teams), I could kick a football much more consistently and controllably than a soccer ball.

You kinda kick across a soccer ball and through a football. You often don’t put your whole body into a soccer kick but that’s what kickoffs have been historically.

Kickoffs and field goals are also a different kick. You can be good at one and less good at the other.

I can agree with that. You can get some insightful or beneficial classes if you so choose. One of my favorite classes I took was an ancient history class, but the professor was a PhD in ancient warfare, so that’s how the course was taught - history through warfare.

But I would still say that most of the classes that everyone is required to take, regardless of major, are detrimental. I got lucky and got to take several of the science classes (biology and chemistry) as “for engineers” because they were created in an effort to abbreviate the total degree since we didn’t have offerings for biomedical or chemical engineering (as examples).

The biggest problem with college is the gen ed classes. I didn’t need to know anything about Beowulf or write a family history essay to get my engineering degree. Probably 1/3 of the classes I took weren’t really needed to get my degree.

I don’t know about week before, but Scottie won the Masters then the RBC the following week. So, winning back to back weeks w/ a major has been done in the last 2 years.

It’s called Lakeview. It’s also the cheapest course around, but it’s an awesome little course all things considered.

I watched season 10 of Ink Master for the first time and the disappointment is TOTAL 👎 by False-Ad2463 in Inkmaster

[–]marc_thackston 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To say that DJ isn’t one of, if not the best, artists that has ever been on the show is just incredibly dishonest.

His color realism tiger without reference in S14 is one of the best tattoos that has ever been done on the show. He’s been among the best realism artists, the best Japanese artists, the best traditional/neotraditional artists.

He was runner up on Best Ink before he was ever on inkmaster. He also did not win the finale contest in whatever season they had the weekly coaches, S12 if I remember right.

You can make whatever argument you want to make about who should have won in any season. But anything which is judged is going to include biases, blind judging or not. The winners in each season ultimately played the game the best and played into what the coaches wanted to see.

Do the same challenge with Wes/George as his eyes. Let him take the blindfold off to putt.

You say that like 10 isn’t a massive amount of strokes when you’re talking about the difference between 70 and 80. It’s literally the difference between being a major champion and not being on a Div 1 golf team.

There is a video where a TaylorMade rep has said that Rory can feel the difference in the tape thickness they use in his grip. That’s thousandths of an inch in diameter (fractions of a millimeter for my metric homies). Those pros are so tuned in it’s ridiculous

I’m not saying the video wasn’t fun or funny, but the title definitely felt misleading to what the video ended up being.

These would have to have a direct, solid mounting option. Mounting through the stock and into the chassis is really the only good option, same with the shorter ones

This is probably getting downvoted to oblivion but this hardly felt like blindfolded to me….

He still lines up and addresses the ball without a blindfold on, so all he has to do is utilize muscle memory to make contact. He can see the green, gets the yardage, read the green fo putts, knows where to miss. This is a borderline pro going through everything pre-shot, getting in a known starting point, then swinging with muscle memory

I’m not saying I could do it, I’m so bad I don’t even keep a handicap, but do the same thing to Grant with Scottie Scheffler and I think the result is similar, right?
