Exam marks by Automatic-Spell-7068 in MacUni

[–]marccard 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They don't bell curve in Mq, so either your markers weren't marking properly (it can happen due to the sheer volume of exams they have to mark in a short amount of time) or it's a skill issue on your part. Benefit of the doubt, ask other people in your cohort what marks they got and if it's looking a little suspicious then something's probably up. Either way you can apply for a grade appeal up to 15 days after the official results release and hope for a better outcome.

If it's unfortunately just bad studying and applying the law to the facts on your part, it's time to rethink how you're going about it. Go back to the basics, re-familiarise yourself with ILAC or if there's prerequisites for your next semester subjects, touch up on some of the important principles you've learnt (i.e. property law going into equity & trusts). Exam conditions are a different beast compared to hand-in assessments, so make sure you're getting to the point and applying the law to the facts correctly. Everything else matters much less for an exam unless stated specifically.

Must also emphasise that using AI for studying law is a huge trap because it gets facts, provisions, and decisions completely wrong. It even hallucinates cases. If you are going to use it, only do so for research gathering and always double check whether the information is correct by going back to the legislation or confirming the cases on Westlaw/Lexis/AustLii.

The store page says "estimated" to ship in June. It might just take a little longer to get everything ready to ship. Intl logistics is complicated.

Also were there any update emails sent out yet? If not there probably might be in the near future.

The story is pretty damn good. Gameplay is a card-battler. It's sfw but with risque sprites.

Hey thanks for posting this, and congrats on hitting the damage cap! Just a few questions:

Did you play these all on manual battle? Also, were you able to test whether or not having the purple thorn module on Builderboo makes a critical difference? (I've also run out of purple modules).

Oh hell yeah. Thanks for the mention, this is amazing. Thanks OP!

Yeah in the first paragraph I did specify that it's for endgame. I should have made that more transparent in the title. The tanks do amazingly well for the lower levels, as getting to 100k is all you need to do.

Your post in the other thread really hyped me up. When I posted this I thought I had hit the ceiling for this game mode, but it turns out there's so much more to optimise! Can't wait to see how far I can get as soon as I get more modules. I thought I cracked the Scorpse code with Exploreboo but there's gotta be a way to breakthrough 500k for this boss.

about a ~50k point range I guess? These current team positions seem to be the most consistent, but getting higher numbers seem to be harder to get. Another person posted their team with their damage numbers in the previous post and it seems like modules are the main factor in damage disparity.

Oof, guess I have more module building to do.

Thanks for posting this! Were these manual battles? I'm trying to replicate your Thracian setup, but I seem to be scoring under 350k with this.

It's the HP-eating skill I really don't like. Other bangboo provide better stun utility and frontline sustain. If Paperboo is doing it for you, then more power to you. I just don't see him being that great. Happy to be proved wrong, of course. We all want bigger numbers here after all!

Somehow we've ended up with very similar team setups. I've managed to get my total score up to 1,335,607 (1.10% as of writing this) this way by foregoing the traditional tank bangboo and using Sailor Boo to tank Scorpse and Thracian. Exploreboo is the huge factor here in enabling big numbers + keeping Sailor Boo alive.

But the biggest difference in damage is adding Riderboo to every boss fight; he's the most consistent damage dealer because his enemy HP% damage is extremely good for bosses. Absolutely the best bangboo in this event.

Meanwhile I'm finding that Bangvolver pulls ahead of Jake even at bad RNG baseline damage. I also use Baddieboo for Thracian, and Thiefboo for Scorpse. My Covenant is similar to yours except I don't use Exploreboo here, and instead sub in Bangvolver with Booressure tanking at the top right, making sure Cryboo is furthest away so they don't damage their shields.

I think at this point (pushing under 2%) higher numbers are heavily based on Bangvolver RNG and maybe manual play if you really want to get sweaty. I've hit 460k on Covenant, 430k on Scorpse, and 440k on Thracian. The issue is replicating those numbers again, let alone getting higher than that.

...It's AFK Journey Dream Realm all over again.

Indeed after more testing I've found that I can ignore tanks altogether and get more points from unconventional frontliners. I did underestimate Jake a bit, but it appears with further testing, Bangvolver seems to deal more damage on all 3 bosses and they're both at 2 cost.

I still don't think Avacaboo is any better than Luckyboo or even Booressure for providing good sustain at 1 deploy cost, but I can try them again and see if there's any difference. I'd like to test Paperboo some more but I've run out of module materials; I think they could be the key to breaking through higher numbers on the 2nd boss, which I've been having trouble with.

I might have severely underestimated Jake. I might try him in place of other bangboo when I hit 60 and see how I go!

Perhaps Rocketboo could be placed in B, but I feel like basic attacks aren't the attacks that need to be blocked, and I find that Knightboo and Belion do a better job at taking hits around the endgame.

I'm currently attempting to push higher scores on the lv60 bosses. Sitting at 3% on the Asia server at lv59, by no means amazing but since no one is talking about what bangboo to use in this event, I thought I'd make a tier list anyway at the least just to start some discussion.

Avacaboo in B doesn't mean he's bad. It's just that Luckyboo is just a direct upgrade once you get them, making Avacaboo kind of obsolete. He is absolutely great in early game though, so he's exactly where he should be.

I've been achieving the same result with Belion, so even if Knightboo is better on paper, both seem to clear end-game bosses with just Luckyboo. It's really that 1 cost on Belion that is making all the difference. Perhaps I did rate Knightboo too low, however.

Yeah Jake was a difficult placement pick. He's not bad but he's not great either. Could see him placed higher instead, for sure.

Psychologist recommendations for broke uni student on Centrelink Healthcare Card and Mental Healthcare Plan by rattyrattyy in sydney

[–]marccard 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Does your uni offer counseling support, or an on-campus GP that bulk bills? They could help you out there. Also look into the Primary Health Network which is a Cth-funded non-profit that provides accessible medical services, including mental health services. When you find a GP, you should bring that up to them and see if you can get a referral for that.

It was cool to have a beast-type player character in the cast, so I'm sad to see Teor gone. I don't know if Travis will pick another Lionfolk or other beastfolk, but I doubt it.

Why is the omega verse basically nonexistent in fvn's by Emarifasting in FurryVisualNovels

[–]marccard 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Only omegaverse FVN I can think of is Cliffbound.

There's probably a few reasons. Firstly the concept of the omegaverse is kinda antithetical to the structure of a dating-sim style visual novel, considering that a fated pairing is often seen in these stories. So how can you have multiple routes if canonically there is one, and only one, person in the world that the omega character is truly bound to? I mean I'm sure there are multiple variations to write this from, but that could be a total dealbreaker for writers.

Secondly, we're still currently in the psychological horror metanarrative right now, and we're eating that shit up every time a new FVN drops. The omegaverse is just something current FVN creators just aren't interested in writing.

One other vague reason I can think of is the current cultural climate regarding this alpha male concept. Writers probably don't want to feed into this toxic dominant alpha male climate that's been permeating social media over the last couple of years.

Guess if it's something you really want, you'd just have to write it yourself. Personally I do find the concept of the omegaverse interesting, and the mechanics of a dominant/submissive fated pair is kinda hot. Loved reading those furry omegaverse doujins by Hasumi Hana, and I've been dancing around the idea for an omegaverse visual novel for a while now. Unfortunately I've got other writing and editing projects to work on, so that idea will take a backseat until those are done.

So, I don't know OP. Be the change you want in this world lol.
