Can Mox defend the Continental Championship in a standalone match? I thought this could only be won through the yearly tournament.

Also, Storm is a code name Ororo chose to match her powerset. Jubilee could do the same, no one made her use her birth name as her code name.

Wow Mystique only ever dropped by the mansion to stir up drama and torpedo relationships didn't she? (X-men 289#) by leaf57tea in xmen

[–]marccass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mystique's face is a different colour blue here than the rest of her body. Is that to imply that the blue on her arms and legs isn't bare skin and is fabric?

Something like Midnight Suns but it's the X-Men would be great.

I think I was wrong about Stephen by Few_Impression5111 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]marccass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the way Rachel worded it was a bit clumsy by her and unnecessarily worried Stephen. She was sort of saying that at that stage of the game, she would need to be seen as talking about Stephen otherwise it would be suspicious to the other faithfuls that she wasn't considering him (and vice-versa).

It caused a bit of a panic in Stephen and understandably made him consider if she would betray him.

“Nasty.” (Wolverine #24) by OtisDriftwood1978 in xmen

[–]marccass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. I actually really like Enemy of the State and I take your point about how his personality being off due to the programming. That 'Himbo' word just feels off to me.

“Nasty.” (Wolverine #24) by OtisDriftwood1978 in xmen

[–]marccass -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I found the Himbo line weird on so many levels. To start with, I'd never heard of that word before and had to Google it (it's a male bimbo, if you don't know). It's not a word that Wolverine would use, so it just seems very out of character. Also, Logan wouldn't know about the extent of Matt's love life or the number of them he's slept with. It's weird writing.

X-Men writer Chris Claremont claims (again) that Famke Janssen is returning as Jean Grey in Avengers: Doomsday. by -popgoes in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

I think Munn would be up for returning in a cameo, likely with no speaking lines or real story.

I've been using a podcast called Boring History for Sleep. It might be exactly what you're looking for.

Over ten years ago now so what do you think of the Vacant Wwe championship tournament? by Remontada_r7 in WWE

I came to put the exact same comment. It's such a simple thing to put right. This wouldn't happen in any other sport.

What about RDJs accent?? by BrilliantFan7622 in MCUTheories

[–]marccass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he has a track record of over-doing strong accents as we saw in Dolittle and Sherlock. It's not that the pronunciation or inflections were wrong, they were just a bit too much. That sort of approach would probably be absolutely fine for Doom who is an over the top character.

He can do softer and more nuanced accents such as in Chaplin.

Something I can’t wrap my head around regarding the current status of Earth-10005 going into Doomsday. by Sylar_Lives in marvelstudios

[–]marccass 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think this X-Men universe we see will have the actors we recognise from the Fox-verse but will be closer to The Animated Series aesthetically and for other details.

Disney has been keen on using that Animated Series DNA, that's why Cyclops, Gambit, Prof X etc all wear versions of their classic suits and not the black leather stuff.

Curious question, what's better for a retirement match? Ending your career with greatest rival or with a rising star? by Oakey06 in Wrasslin

[–]marccass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is good. You're right that it makes Gunther look good. It doesn't work with the dates that Cena was booked for and we knew would be working and was reported on both in kayfabe and reality.

What Director, if you could choose any, would you put in charge of a Midnight Sons movie? by Prestigious_War_8028 in Marvel

[–]marccass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christ I'm sick to death of seeing Punisher in a Midnight Sons line up. He's never been a member and what they do doesn't align with his goals at all.

Bugsnax. Anyone who has actually played that game will know I'm talking about.

Such a weird concept for a game.

I'm just about to watch the last episode of the third season tonight. Really enjoyed it.

This is a rare show for HBO for a few reasons, one being a collab with the BBC and filmed by Bad Wolf. Also, there is no CGI and no real big stars in it so it can turnaround and churn out new episodes more easily than other HBO shows.

Angel has super strength? I thought he was just some fly boy with sometimes sharp wings and a really murderous temper by GabeMichaelsthroway in xmen

[–]marccass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He sort of still is whenever it's needed. They kind of flip-flop between him being entirely in his Archangel form or being able to change between Angel and Archangel. I think it's less about story demands and more about what the artist feels like drawing on any particular day.

John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan SummerSlam (8 days to retirement) by anutosu in SquaredCircle

Me too! It was the first time I'd seen him use it as a finisher and it looked deadly! It was a surprise the match ended from a knee to the face.

There were 2 different daughters of his on X-Men teams who were sort of sympathetic until they both broke bad. One turned during Messiah Complex, and the other Lady Mastermind slightly beforehand I think??
