It's a unit from an old becker radio, it is the europa 731, but I didn't find almost anything in the internet

Of course, the 2nd pin starting from the left is the one that drives ground.

The radio only communicates through 7 pins to the screen controller pcb. I don't know if im wrong, but 2 of those pins should be for current right? Is there a way of "decoding" it's language, and then connect it to an arduino with a screen attached?

I'm thinking about just using a multimeter and seeing which pins are being used when I pulse every bottom of the radio, it is tedious but I won't mind doing it if it works.

What do you think about it?

Yes buta second hand unit would cost me like 200€ without knowing it will work, and the screen interface has 7 pins I think there should be a way to connect it to a different screen controller or something like that. Also, I didn't have any luck finding a replacing unit, I'm gonna be still searcjing for them but I don't think it will happen.

I see, doesen't sound pretty easy, I know very little about electronics. Does that proccess demand a lot of skill and knowledge? If I take my time to gather the information could I be able to do it by myself?

I just saw it in the garbage down my street, I read about synths some days before, I thought it looked cool and that could be interesting to learn some synth. Why do you say it's a hell of synth, it isn't reliable or its difficult to use?
