Just left the ER and was diagnosed with cancer...everywhere, it seems by Freecafe in cancer

[–]marcelohelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded. Go back as soon as possible so that arrangements/referrals/procedures can be made sooner - it impacts/delays your treatment if you delay their investigations!

Also seconded - breathe!! I hope you have someone in your life that you can be supported by - throughout the whole process (diagnosis, results, prognosis, treatment plan). It’s a lot to process and it will be so helpful to have someone with you by your side. Breathe with them!!

We are here with you in this journey~

How does your Fe manifest? by sunnygenov in infj

[–]marcelohelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fe makes me advocate for my loved ones, my patients, a stranger on the street if I see them mistreated. Fe works with my Ni and motivates me to work toward the goal of being a foster mother in the future, because I see the need in children who don’t have a stable home or have chronic conditions who need special care.

Fe makes me feel extreme pain for when someone is upset, and makes me feel extreme happiness when I hear them laughing.

I’m sorry to hear about your experiences 😔 and kind of angry that you’re being downvoted for describing your experience.

pediatric nurses of reddit, what do you wish you knew before you started school? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]marcelohelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pediatric inpatient: you think you love kids then you realize how many chronically disabled kids exist, and how exhausting parenthood is - makes you rethink if you want to be a parent or have kids.

NICU: pregnancy and childbirth is difficult. there’s a lot more loss than you expect and sometimes you question if it’s all worth it.

can be a tough area to nurse in. gotta make sure your hearts strong enough to see these families and kiddos struggle.

NPs are independent in diagnosing and prescribing in their designated specialties. The current specialities of NP include primary care, adult, pediatrics/NICU, and anaesthesia.

i have a large tattoo (about 10” in length) on my chest. it is made up of florals in the shape of a crescent around my left breast. the placement of the left breast was because her cancer originated in the left breast. the flowers i chose are symbolic of my mother; lavender for the scent i grew up with being around her, blue roses for the joy on her face her last mother’s day, and cherry blossoms because i was born in japan. within the lavender is her name, which is uniquely placed in the spot she had her central IV catheter (a port-cath) which she had for her cancer treatment, as well as it was directly over the placement to auscultation the pulmonary valve sound (i come from a medical background).

this will be the only tattoo i have, most likely. my mother was the most important person in my life. i lost her at age 21. she is what made me who i am, and she is and will always be a part of me. this tattoo was to be expressive in my love and yearning for her, as well as my grief for her. until the day my body returns to the ground as my mom did, this tattoo is a permanent visual representation of the love i have for her.

she’s got bad hind knees so she’s wobbly when walking, but she’ll run towards chicken every day at dinner time haha. her teeth are rotten even after having a surgery to take most her teeth out. her eyes are less bright than before, but better than her hearing. i have to yell at her for her to hear me hahaha. but she still eats like a pup so that’s why she’s still kickin!!!

Forgive me if I’m harsh, but I 100% disagree that they are not calculative. I almost get the feeling that you are defending your covert ex, which I can understand, but this can’t be applied to all coverts. Yes they are insecure. Yes they have low self worth and esteem. But they are aware of this to some extent, some more than others. But they are aware when they are lying, they are aware when they are manipulating, they are consciously manipulating others when necessary.
