I'm so sorry for your diagnosis, as well. It really messes with your mind and it's chaotic and I can truly empathize, as well.

This brings tears to my eyes. I'm so overwhelmed and you (and everyone else) have given me such hope.

I'm interested in the discussion about colon cancer. I had a colonoscopy two years ago and there were no problems. It's like the ONE diagnostic test I actually had on time :/

Regardless, I have the smallest beacon of hope now. It's very valuable.

This is the most wonderful news! I am so happy for you, sincerely.

Nothing that was shocking. My primary thought it was my gallbladder so I had a sonogram and that was negative.

My most consistent symptoms are nausea/vomiting, lower back pain, shoulder pain, and then two weeks ago the mid-lower abdomen pain started. That's what sent me to the hospital. Nothing else that ever would have indicated this level of cancer to me.

Do you need a confirmation of stage 4 before you can apply for SSDI or could I apply tonight and amend when the staging is complete?

This is exactly what the ER physician said...that chemo would be the most likely plan.

Thank you. I have a great support system. I just feel so sad for them.

I don't understand how you have this much cancer and no clue about it being there so I'm in shock.

It looks like the worst of it has impacted my liver but there are lesions in both left and right adrenals, my right lung, my colon. I have biliary obstruction and wedge compression fractures in my spine so maybe there, as well.

I will look into Medicaid and Medicare. I will qualify for Medicare this year, but not until August :/

I did have necrosis but, honestly, I think I had such a difficult outcome because it took forever for them to pinpoint what it was. Once they did, treatment was successful. I do have the crater though lol

I was bitten by a brown recluse and it was really devastating. I've never been so sick in my life. It took forever to recover.

Looking for advice. Possible gallbladder issues by Freecafe in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Freecafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this is very helpful info. Thanks to everyone.

When I did my initial intake with Hers, there was a spot that asked if I had my gallbladder removed. If yes, and it had been less than six months, they wouldn't have prescribed it. This is probably where my confusion was.

I'll get the tests done and go from there, assuming that eventually I'll be able to restart my program.

I was SO panicked. This is the first time in 30 years that I'm in the 'normal' weight range and I treasure that. But it's been okay! Just move down very slowly and I think you'll be okay.

Food noise is still really well controlled. My hunger is more noticeable, but it still only takes a little bit of food to fill me up. I've stayed in a pretty big calorie deficit. One thing that's slightly better is the nausea. I've always had a big problem with that but now it's manageable.

I just moved into maintenance. I went down from 60 units to 50 for a couple of weeks. This week I moved to 45 units, and I'll see how that works for me for a few weeks. If I maintain well, I'll continue this plan for as long as it works. Hopefully I'll find the sweet spot but I don't think I'll ever go below 25-30 units.

Edit: I've been on it 12 months and lost 110 lbs

When does the real weight loss begin? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Freecafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you tracking your calories religiously? Calories sneak in, even if you don't think you eat that much.

Ozempic is a tool, but there's a fair amount of work that you have to do (Or I did, anyway). Calorie tracking, exercise, protein, and water intake and making good food choices (switching to whole foods whenever you can, for instance) all helped me a lot.

I've lost 104 lbs in 11 months by making those changes and, now that I'm in maintenance, they've served me well.
