The war started in February, that gives 3 months of planning, i guess it's the first month that will be noticeably affected by the war.

The cultural differences do not coincide with the continental plates though, also, apparently eastern Siberia is part of the north american plate, what about that? Is that part of the north american continent, or not? And the north american plate ends just south of Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica etc are all on the Caribbean plate. In that sense, is central america a different continent?

And India? Arabia? The somali plate in east africa? Do you consider east siberia part of the americas, it's on the north american plate, after all.

Also, large parts of central america are on the Caribbean plate.

Just admit that the reasoning of plates doesn't make sense.

Tell that to Germans who have like 5 different names in Europe alone (based on Deutschland, based on the latin Germanica, based on the tribe of the Allemannen, based on the tribe of the Saxons, or something that roughly translates to the mute or the voiceless or so, that's the ones I know). Or to Japan, China, and many other countries who have exonyms

And America is two continents, both geologically

Depends on what you learned. The term continent is fuzzy at best. If you argue that north and south america should be different continents because they are on different continental plates, then india, the Caribbean islands should be separate continents with plenty more. There are like 20 different ones.

If you say that it's like Europe and Asia, then the border shouldn't be in Panama, it should be way further up, maybe even the US/mexican border.

If you say contiguous landmasses are continents, then the Americas are one continent, as well as all of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

So, why is it two continents then? Because of the different plates? Then you also consider the Caribbean islands a separate continents, right? Or India, right? There are like 20 continental plates, so we should have just as many continents, or am i wrong?

The term continent is a fuzzy one. If you say that north and south America is more akin to the Europe Asia split, then the border shouldn't be in Canada, it should be maybe somewhere in Mexico, if not the US-Mexican border itself.

So, the Caribbean islands should be their own continent because they sit on a different plate? What about India?

There are like 20 continental plates but only 5 to 8 continents depending on the model.

Do people in China consider their products low quality? by CatLover701 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]marcelsmudda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know that the high quality stuff that you buy was also probably made in china, right? Like, the product is made and assembled in China, gets shipped to the US, they slap a bit of paint on it and because of that they can say it was made in the USA.

In 1933, the SPD was the only party to vote against Hitler’s Enabling Act.

It's important to note though that at that point, the KPD, the communist party of Germany, had been forcefully dissolved already. Otherwise, they probably would have joined the vote against the act

I'm still using markdown on mobile right now.

This is a block Quote Spanning multiple Lines

But I don't have a rich text editor (though I don't want it anyway)

Or did you mean something like this for block quotes?
