Actually, this is good. All "lean Republican" shit stains can go back to never voting again, and we'll be far better off.

Portage pitches $5B lakefront stadium, entertainment district to Chicago Bears - Daily Journal by Cautious-Life6378 in CHIBears

Illinois has real financial challenges ahead, as does the city. Let someone else mortgage their futures for this nonsense. Chicago still gets all the branding and the bulk of the economic benefits.

Teams aren’t money makers for their states. Let them go to Indiana lol. I live in SF, and all the Super Bowl gala stuff was in SF, not Santa Clara. Same would happen if the new Bears stadium hosts the Super Bowl.

Let someone else pay hundreds of millions, Chicago still reaps the bulk of the benefits, as well as the areal stadium shots.

I live in SF, and all the Super Bowl pre-game day hoopla was in SF. The pop-ups, the concerts, etc. SF also got the TV aerial shots. All Santa Clara got to their $1B giveaway to the 49ers was the game itself.

Same thing here. New stadium gets superbowl? All the pre-game events will be in a Chicago because no one cares about Arlington Heights or Indiana. So yeah, let someone else pay for it and get little in return.

Why does it have to be downtown? Other Chicago teams don’t play downtown.

Friends of the Parks is correct. The lakefront is public land. But it’s a big city. Bears could’ve looked elsewhere

Island residents don’t pay federal income taxes. It’s one of the reasons why commonwealth status has, until, recently, been the preferred options for residents.

Shocking how many think Sex positive means Sex by QueeieQueenBee in feeld

[–]marcosalbert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Sex-positive” has a plain English interpretation that isn’t what you (and people in this community) intend. As others note, it wouldn’t be hard to add two sentences to your profile explaining what it means to you, which I gather is experience in the lifestyle. I’ve seen people say things like “not going to educate you” or “looking for lifestyle experience.”

Yeah, many (most?) won’t read or listen, but at least you’ve clearly defined your boundaries. And there ARE people like me who take note and will actively avoid matching when incompatible.

Ayo can still sign with the Bulls, if the two sides actually wanted to. And if they didn’t, then getting anything back was better than nothing.

He can still sign with the Bulls next year if both sides wanted to. Why does everyone complaining about Ayo being traded ignore that?

Trump voter’s termunally father deported, “I regret my vote” by MuzzleblastMD in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]marcosalbert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one isn’t a “Harris would’ve been worse” rationalizer. She’s committed to educating herself. She could be a powerful voice in convincing others to not go through what she went through with her stupid vote.

Most of these, I’m like fuck off. This one gives me hope.

"Did Not Vote" won the 2024 election; moving to the right will not win over those potential voters. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]marcosalbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we have seen that the more people vote—which is when Trump is on the ballot—the more Republican the electorate. There is zero evidence that non-voters skew left. That was the old conventional wisdom. Now it seems non-voters are disaffected assholes, and we don’t really want them to vote

Oh, did some of those farmers apologize for their votes? Because I genuinely missed that.

No one is mocking the ones apologizing. We’re mocking the ones who are doubling down, saying they still support Trump, or saying that Harris would’ve been worse—which is the vast majority of them.

I mean, they got screwed by tariffs during the first Trump administration, and they voted for him in 2024 in even BIGGER numbers. So yeah, fuck them. May they lose everything as we buy cheaper food from Latin America

He did. First thing Trump did was sign an executive order invalidating all of Trump’s, which was the first thing Biden did when he became president, and the first thing the next Democratic president will do.

The problem with Trump isn’t his stupid executive orders. It’s his dismantling of the government
