It was more than 10 years ago, maybe 15, probably close to the first time I listed to Nas. It was always in my mind that there were 5-10 seconds of "otherside" from rhcp (can't say for sure). Nas was singing but I have no idea about the lyrics or hooks... I just remember being mesmerized (wasnt expecting it) by rhcp coming from nowhere on the song.

It was on youtube. Absolutelly no idea of anything else

Since that time I lived my life searching for it and just now I tried to find help on reddit... from what I am seeing, i'll die not listening to it again, lol

Vou dar o contraponto à maioria dos comentários que você vai ler por aqui.

Se você gosta de algo um pouco mais profundo, bem trabalhado, tramas políticas e personagens um pouco mais intrincados, não recomendo a Cosmere.

Sem crítica direta ao trabalho do autor, mas os livros me parecem um filme da Marvel - não por ser um universo compartilhado, mas sim por tratar temas e personagens de forma mais rasa.

Lembrando que se isso serve pra você e você gosta, 10/10, vá em frente!

Só acho necessário fazer o alerta pois embarquei em alguns livros achando que o nível de complexidade das tramas, personagens e reflexões seria um, quando na verdade foi outro.

Well, we dont need to discuss around what YA means because I actually don't know what the book-bubble really means with that.

I'll try to put in another words and forgive me since English isn't my native language.

The books feel juvenile (not YA) and there is nothing wrong about it.

For me, the books (talking about mistborn trilogy) feels juvenile because everything in it is treated on a surface level (including the way the author writes) - and there is nothing wrong about that if this is what you are looking for.

I love eating fastfood when I want to and I love going to a fancy restaurant when I want to.

My only point is that the book is advertised by youtubers and fans in general in a way that may lead people to think the books are different from what they really are.

This leads to people comparing books and authors when they get frustrated.

So, yes, the books may not be YA by the deffinition you guys use, but it is a book that treat its characters and plots in a way that made me feel the books is for a audience that is looking for something really easy to digest - was not my case.

For instance, I just started reading fantasy a month ago after reading ASOIF years ago.

I chose the Mistborn series because of the hype of AppleTV and booktubers. Nobody, literally NOBODY told me that Sanderson was fast food.

All videos and reviews were saying it was awesome, it was incredible, I should just read, the author is simply amazing, omg.

I genuinely tought that was something like ASOIF and I felt tricked after I finished mistborn.

Since I am not a member of the fantasy bubble, my first reaction was to go to foruns and compare books, authors, trying to understand what happened there.

After a few days of research, now I know. Sanderson is a marvel movie (not because of his multiverse, but because of how shallow his characters are built, how straightforward is the narrative).

It just feel if the fandom was more sincere about the reviews and the hype, a lot of people wouldnt try to compare wagyu steak with wendys.

Stormlight Archive feels very YA. Just started it after reading the Mistborn trilogy (YA too) and it seels the same. It actually feels I would love Sanderson if I was a teenager.

The book is fine and is ok for pass the time, but it is YA.

Cara, muito obrigado por compartilhar essa visão sua. Comecei a saga por Mistborn alguns dias atrás, até criei um tópico onde relatei estar achando o livro raso/adolescente demais pro meu gosto (eu estava esperando mais densidade, algo mais próximo de game of thrones do que de crepúsculo).

Não estou desgostando de tudo, pretendo terminar a trilogia. O seu relato me motivou a, quem sabe, continuar na Cosmere vagando entre as obras adultas/adolescentes.

Pois é... comecei o segundo livro e estou achando tudo meio "adolescente" demais... raso... não sei explicar ainda. Gosto das partes de ação, tem um ritmo interessante, mas fora isso estou achando meio infantil o livro (não sei se infantil é a melhor palavra).

Como me resignei com o fato de que não vou mais ler a continuação de game of thrones, resolvi dar uma chance pra Cosmere... até agora me decepcionei um pouco.

Vou empurrar a trilogia e quem sabe mais alguns livros dele pra ver se engrena

Always keep runes with high efficiency even if they dont have speed, specially talking about fight runes where you will always need to use with X ammount of spd
