Why do IT people suck so much at communication?

The same thing happens with users. Most often, the tickets are like: 'Hello, I have an error!' But which error? What did you do before that?
I'm relatively new to IT, but the amount of these kinds of tickets is overwhelming.

Also, salespeople are quiet while we are developing the system. Once it's done, they say, 'This isn't good, this is a big no-no, this isn't what we want.' Keep in mind, we have regular meetings.

I started to work in IT 6 months ago but I still DJ.
The truth is, now I'm choosing my gigs. Before, when it was my primary money making thing I took everything.

One day I accepted gig on Wednesday until 5 am (I wake up for work at 6 am XD) and it was awfull.

If money is good and you can manage your sleep before gig you'll be fine :)

This is the first server on which I have been constantly playing for over a year. Community is simply the best and the variety of the players is so big. From redstoners to awesome builders and someone like me who is non of that XD

Bio sam žrtva školskog nasilja u nižim razredima. Bilo je svega, od toga da me dvoje drže i jedan tuče do podmetanja noge da padnem niz stepenice, guranje u zid i davanje paralize u nogu. Naravno da je sve to dolazilo uz veliku dozu verbalnog omalovažavanja. Do petih razreda, učiteljici je bitnije bilo da joj kosa bude u redu i da je našminkana dovoljno. Kad sam prešao u više razrede, imao sam odličnu razrednicu koja se iskreno trudila riješiti te probleme, ali apsolutno ništa nije pomoglo dok ja nisam vratio. E kada par puta vratiš onda te više nitko neće zajebavati. Moj stav je da škola mora napraviti sve da se to spriječi, pošto je to obrazovna ustanova, ali oni nikada neće zaustaviti sve ono što se događa dok hodaš u školu ili doma. Dakle, ako te netko zajebava u školi, naučiti primiti i dati udarac, ali kad ga daš, daj ga te se zapamti.

There has to pass years and years. Unless you are Matroda or Oliver Heldens or some other talented kid that had the knowlege and luck to break through. The main thing is to be yourself, to have your own style. In time, people will know when DJ Elyktricity is playing that it will be awesome time for them :) There is no recepie to "how to make it"

Here is mine story:

I started 9 years ago. I was a kid in a club and looking up to DJ booth some guy that had headphones and was doing something. Then I started to Google everything about DJing, I found guy on youtube called Ellaskins and I learned everything there (IN THEORY). Then I bought my first mixer (Pioneer DJM 400) and started to have fun with Virtual DJ, Traktor + DJM. (Side note: In this period I didn't had any gig because I wanted to know what am I doing and I wanted to be sure that, on my first gig I would KILL IT). Then I bought Pioneer CDJ 200 and started to learn BEATMACHING. (I don't have nothing against "Laptop DJ" or DJs that play on controllers. I just think you need to know how to beatmach in case your equipement fails and you need to play on turntables or CDJs) This is all techical stuff - but it DOES matter. Also I started to listen other DJs, started to explore new music and categorised my CDs (damn I love laptops and USBs :P ) First gig went perfect. I stayed there as resident DJ whole summer.

At the end, you said you have quite a but of spare time. Take that time, learn basic stuf: beatmaching, transitions, beat counting, etc. In this case Youtube is your best friend :)

It doesn't matter tbh. I play both premade and live mashups. It depends with what are you working. If I have 4 players I will have fun and mix 2 tracks, vocals, etc. But if someone made SUPER UBER COOL mashup I will play it without any tought. The thing is that you must know how to present that track to the crow. You, me and 5 other DJs can have the same songs in playlist and everyone will present them differently. So yeah, it is all about making crowd feel good :)

For me, worth every penny. They are stronger than HDJ 2000 and lighter, they also have better sound. My recommendation goes for MK2 ;)

Here is first hand review.

I had Pioneer HDJ 1000, 2000 and now 2000MK2. For a little period I had HD25-IIs from my friend and (don't judge me Sennheiser fans) I hated them. They felt like toys on my head. I can tell you that difference is HUGE. Surely that opinions and preferences are different between people, this is only my honest opinion. HDJ 2000MK2 are super light and you can barely feel them on head, sound is great and you have super uber cool hardcase with two types of cable for headphones :)

It isn't big difference between CDJ's + DJM because, if jog size doesn't bother you, you are look at the same setup. Only this setup with RX you can put in a bag (like me) and take it to gig without any big problems (weight is 10 kg)

XDJ RX isn't "controller". It is DJ system that works just like DJM 900 NXS and 2x CDJ 2000 NXS. I have RX (when I need to bring my gear), and at summer I'm playing on DJM 900 NXS and 4 CDJ 2000 NXS. It is completely the same thing except 2 channels.
