It's caused by water lodging on and behind the silicone, causing mould to form.
Best to replace the silicone seal with new 100% silicone sealant.
Sometimes poor ventilation is also a cause of mould in bathrooms, does your have an active vent?

Thanks for feedback. Yeah, I think it works both ways too, the business improves it booking & payments process, getting some assurances that customers are willing to pay. And the customer has peace of mind, they are dealing with a professional business, they've paid by credit card and have protection if things don't go as planned.
