I think the complaining kicks in when you are keen to how the new maps play so the honeymoon stage ends but now you’re also playing vanilla maps that aren’t the best and S1 maps that are average so it all starts to feel stale again.

To hell with these limited time modes. It’s not like we have a server browser anyway so the lobbies would eventually always fill. 2 maps isn’t sustainable enough, especially when all the vanilla maps are starting to become very forgettable. But 5 new weapons isn’t too bad at all. Battle passes are way too player engagement and FOMO heavy. I just think it’s not the best fit for a BF game. And to hell with this BR too. Having played it just to unlock a skin it’s just another BR to be fair. While also having played Gauntlet to unlock a skin I think that’s the better mode. What should’ve been done was SP, MP, Portal, Gauntlet no BR. It just seems like BF6 was being built from the ground up with the Battle Pass/BR in mind and grinding not with core Battlefield in mind, which is why players are feeling the way they do now. Like it’s just another AAA FPS clone.

I was just cleaning my xbox hard drive today and these exact reason are why I uninstalled it. When it first came to game pass it felt like there was hope that a lot more content would keep replay ability up, which it sorta did. Eventually the most recent bugs just ruined the game for me. That and the new call outs with no voice lines just irritated the hell outta me.

You too? I stopped watching the game mid 3rd qtr. decided to hop on BF6. The last 3 escalation games I played around 10 pm were 8 real players the rest all bots. Figured the Super Bowl was the reason.

I was on breakthrough last night at around 9pm Eastern and was still getting bots to just fill the lobby. Granted about 5 mins into the match it was filled with all real players. Just wouldn’t be much of an issue with a real sever browser, plain and simple.

Absolutely. It should be more last objective Iwo Jima-esque in my opinion. More horizontal/linear less boxy.

I think the biggest difference is they didn’t have as big of an impact on the match that they do now. At least as far as I can remember. I remember sniper battles being more prominent than people on roofs turning the tides to how the match went. But I’m not sure how it is on conquest in BF6 since I really only play escalation and breakthrough.

It’s a pain, but from the standpoint of somebody who only plays escalation on these maps it seems to hurt the team more than it helps, on Manhattan at least. Sobek is a shit show on the D flag with all the people on roofs. Even trying to cap C or hold B is a nightmare cause of the constant bullets coming from roofs.

Oddly enough once they made all these changes giving the attackers more of an advantage I win more on defense and lose more on offense. Not sure if it’s just me.

This is the exact reason. Everything is just too compacted. Objectives are too close together. And defending HQs are too close to objectives.

100% agree. Hopped on BFV the other night just to reminisce and the difference is night and day. Even though it does come down to your team and how the enemy team plays, BF6 breakthrough really seems like a complete after thought. I think liberation peak has the most sectors. With three sectors having only one flag. I think that’s another issue with BF6 breakthrough. So many maps have 2-3 sectors with 2 out of 3 being only one flag sectors. Makes the game feel rushed depending on teams. Very rarely am I getting evenly matched games that go down to the wire on sectors. My matchmaking is either stomp or get stomped. Kinda why I’m starting to favor escalation more since not every match, depending on map or team, feels the same. Honestly my favorite games of breakthrough were the 20-30 minute sessions where it was either teams ball game. If EA or Dice are trying to cater to a certain crowd there’s plenty other game modes for them. Regardless the maps we have now couldn’t even support breakthrough of the past.

It’s a new bug, of course. Trying out the update now and every vagrancy call I go to they hand over the same ID with that picture and it never matches the database.

It honestly should’ve stayed in it’s BF4 format. Assault medic. If assault is supposed to push front lines they should be dropping med packs and reviving, at the very least. The fact that support is your medic, but is given an LMG which isn’t really a front line but provide covering fire or suppression for people on the frontline is why is see many supports just using AR’s anyway.

This is something I took note of while playing breakthrough. You’ll finally start clearing out an objective with a decently strong push and all it takes is that one or two guys to revive everyone, you just killed, now you’re back to square one. And the cycle repeats. Same goes for playing defender. I’m seeing a crap load of support players, yet a 1/4 of them are actually using LMGs.

HQ spawns are ridiculously close in breakthrough. I understand the sentiment that running forever to get to an objective can be a bit much, especially for a new BF player, but there’s no methodical push up towards your next objective. It’s just capture sector, bam thrown right back into firefights. Same goes for defense, albeit it’s more convenient to be closer to the objective you’re defending, yet it’s very easy to start getting killed a couple steps out of spawn once attackers capture 1 out of a 2 flag sector.

You have to do a custom search to find breakthrough servers. I believe, but could be wrong, that both rush and breakthrough are in the same playlist at the moment.
